General overview

My apartment is in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Munich, Maxvorstadt. This is a central neighborhood, which is not far from the city center and in the middle of the university district. 

Munich is beautiful at any time of year, but it gets incredibly great in the spring and summer when we go to the beer gardens, eat pretzels and radishes, visit the English Garden, and lie by the Isar River to chill or swim. 

Do you like to go hiking? Then jump on the next train and swim in about 1 hour at mountain lakes or go hiking in the Alps. You can reach Austria in 45 minutes by car, and Italy is not far away. Or you just stay in Munich, because we say: Munich is the northernmost city in Italy.

The space

My apartment is very colorfully decorated, and I have a lot of plants. It is located in an area with many cafés, bars and restaurants, but it is very quiet because it is in the backyard.

How to get into the house? You simply enter the house with your own key. :) You can reach my apartment a few flights of stairs later. But beware: we don't have an elevator

Notes

In my house live very kind and nice people, many of them are artists. Everybody is welcome in our house. You can spend as much and as little time with the neighbors as you like. If you feel like it, you can sit outside with them in the evening and have a glass of wine.

Neighbourhood

The English Garden, Königsplatz, the city center (and the Hofbräuhaus :)) are all nearby. We also have an old Jewish cemetery around the corner, which has not been used for a long time, but is great as a park to relax. In the evening, you can play beach volleyball in front of one of the Pinakothek and enjoy a beer in front of a converted bus while watching the sunset. 

If you walk down the street where I live towards the university, you will pass many different restaurants. There are good pizza places, poke bowl restaurants, snack stands, Turkish, Italian, Thai, Indian, Greek, vegan, hip and traditional Bavarian restaurants. We also have a few specialty coffee shops nearby and are also happy to see old-fashioned granny cafés that serve fantastic cake.

Getting to my home

Getting around

I will gladly lend you my bike, which will take you to Marienplatz in 10 minutes. You can also get to the main train station in 5 minutes by bike. All other destinations can be reached by subway, streetcar or bus. With me, everything goes. You can even get home safely at night.
