General overview
This home is in one of the most sought-after, safe and established neighborhoods in Charleston, Fort Johnson Estates.
It is surrounded by gorgeous marsh views of downtown and surrounding areas. It is two blocks from a really beautiful and updated kids playground, the DNR campus which is open to the public on weekends for fishing, beaching and hikes and a short walk to the scenic Sunrise Park. The closest shopping center is a few minute drive away and has a local coffee shop, a local pizzeria with an outdoor kids play area, a grocery store and a local bottle shop/bar called Odyssey, which is a hidden gem. It's a 12-15 minute drive to downtown Charleston and a 15 minute drive to Folly Beach!
The space
It's a split-level home with a playroom, full bath, laundry room and bedroom downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs (one of which we'll keep locked to store some things while we're away). The main floor is an updated open floor plan that leads to an extremely large porch fully equipped for meals outside or sitting and watching a football game on the porch TV. The porch leads to the backyard, which is about half an acre and a little slice of heaven. We have a small patio, recently renovated kids play set on astroturf with a big trampoline and gardens and plants everywhere.
Guest access
This is a split-level house with three floors. Guests will be using all levels and there are two short staircases.
Notes
We have three young kids, so we have kids spaces and tons of toys we would love to share! We love the idea of another family using our home and getting the bonus of family-friendly lodging comfort and easy + vacation perks of visiting one of the top tourist destinations in the world!
