Neighbourhood
Besides the beach right in front of your apartment there is a large sand beach "Babe" which is ideal for children and for playing water games as the water level is low for hundreds of meters into the sea. The beach also has cocktail bars and food stands and is located only 5 minutes walking distance from your apartment.
The apartment itself is located only 15 minutes walking distance from the center of Novalja. Along your way to the city center you will come across bars and restaurants as well as pastries and grocery stores where you can buy necessities if you don't feel like driving up to the large stores in the city center or outside of Novalja.
The city center is packed with restaurants for you to explore and enjoy. You can try out local cousin restaurants serving fresh fish, oysters and other sea food delicacy as well as delicious red and white wine.
There are also fast food stands, ice-cream shops, pastries or if you wish to get warmed up for Novalja's exciting nightlife you can go for cocktails and refreshing cold drinks in one of the many bars.
Note: during winter time a lot of the restaurants and bars are closed as they only operate during peak summer season.

Getting around
Although it's possible to get to the city center by car I would recommend leaving the car at the apartment (you have two parking spots in the buildings underground garage).
The city center is only a 15 minute walk from the apartment and you'll be walking along the beautiful beach the whole time enjoying the sun and a refreshing breeze of salty sea wind.
If you do decide to go by car there is a large parking space in the city center right besides INA's boat gas station (you will see two ramps).
There are also large super markets a bit outside of Novalja (on your way to Zrće beach, right after you pass another INA gas station. The stores will be to your left) where you can buy all you need for your stay.
You can also catch a bus to the nearby towns and beaches from the city center if you feel like exploring the island.
