General overview
We have a wonderful 5 bedroom 3 bathroom home located in central alberta. We are central to everything meaning it’s about a 1.5 hour drive to most popular destinations which makes our home great for a home base and doing day trips on some days and relaxing on others! We’re 30 minutes from the beach Sylvan lake or gull lake, 1.5 hours from Edmonton (North America’s largest mall, Telus science centre, whyte Ave local shops) 1.5 hours from Calgary (zoo, western Canada’s largest outdoor amusement park calaway park, etc) , just under two hours for drumheller (canadas badlands, dinosaur museum, hoodoos, swinging bridges) and roughly 2.5 hours from banff/the great Canadian Rockies!!
You will need a vehicle.
The space
Walk in to a large bilevel with 12ft ceilings. Once your up the stairs on the main level we have a huge kitchen with a full size fridge and a full size freezer(to slim down on the amount of shopping trips you need to make!), along with a walk in pantry and a butcher block island for all your prepping needs. Off of the kitchen we have a decent sized living room with a large sectional with a tv.
On the same level, we have a master bedroom with a king size bed that has an ensuite and a walk in closet. There’s also 2 other bedrooms (one queen size bed and a toddler bed) plus another bathroom, and the laundry room to complete the upstairs.
Downstairs we have turned one bedroom into a fully dedicated art room with chalk walls and paints galore. The second bedroom downstairs is currently empty but we will be adding a bed, if we secure an exchange before we furnish the room we can always buy air mattresses :). We also have a large sectional and another tv/living area with more consoles/toys. We have copious amounts of toys and even a bounce house for kids to enjoy!
Fully fenced backyard for pets and kids, complete with a smoker, trampoline and gazebo in the summer. Enough parking for 4 cars out front and 2 in the garage.
Notes
We do have 3 dogs and a cat, although the dogs will be gone during any swaps our cat will still be at the house but we do not expect you to take care of her at all. We will make sure she has everything she needs before we leave.

Neighbourhood
In our small community of blackfalds we have many parks, an outdoor pool, inside play place with a couple grocery stores. We are only 10 minutes to the nearest city which has everything you could need including Walmart, Costco, two malls, tons of restaurants.
Getting to my home
We are about 1.5 hours from either Calgary or Edmonton airport so endless flight options but you will need a vehicle to get to our home. Unless it’s a hospitality in which case we can always arrange to pickup from the airport :)
Getting around
We live just outside the city so while there are some busses that run, driving is the only reliable way to get around.
