Neighbourhood
Delicious dining is abundant in Olympia, though here in the valley on the Chehalis River, life is lush with healthy food for cooking! You'll find organic producers of all things veggie, fruit, eggs and dairy. There are honor system co-op stands on Independence and Michigan Hill Roads. Fresh wild salmon and trout can be fished from the river or bought fresh off the boat from the Seafood Company on the South Sound in Olympia. Heritage Meats (grass fed/finished) is only 5 minutes away in the town of Rochester.
Nearest airport
Seattle (SEA) is about 75 minutes and Portland (PDX) is about 90 minutes by car, though I-5 traffic is variable.
Getting Around
You'll need wheels to get here but in both Rochester and Olympia you'll find everything and more, as well as in Centralia and Chehalis (twin cities, 20 miles south, both known for antique shopping on their main streets).

We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
