General overview
The apartment (which will look much nicer in August when we move in!) is located in a trendy vibrant area full of lovely cafes, restaurants, parks, theaters, galleries, playgrounds, sports facilities, and also easily accessible from all Prague´s historical sites. Our apartment is newly renovated, very comfortable and practical, located in a typical art-noveau house built in 1900. The exchange is possible from August on. The apartment will look much nicer then when we move in and bring our furniture, add personal touch and coziness.
The space
The apartment can sleep max. 6 people and it consists of two bedrooms and a large kitchen/dining/living room with a pull-out sofa (so 3 separate rooms in which people can sleep). Each room has its own entrance. It´s a very practical space. The master bedroom will have a queen size bed, the boys´room will have two separate beds. There is a bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate toilet. We have a new home cinema, so you can watch movies after a long day in the city. The boys have an X-box if you come with teenagers. We also have a many board games and books. :)
Guest access
The apartment is on second floor but there is a lift.
Notes
There is a shared backyard/garden with a table and chairs which can be used by anyone to relax.

Neighbourhood
Our place is located inbetween Prague´s two most popular neighbourhoods called Zizkov and Vinohrady built around 1900. The historical centre is about 30 minutes away by a direct tram (or metro) ride (the stops are a few blocks away). If you prefer walking, you can also reach the main sights on foot across a nice park. Our area is full of trendy cafes, restaurants, shops, galeries, clubs, theaters, parks etc. It´s one of most popular, vibrant areas of Prague to live in for young people and families, both Czech and from abroad. The nearby popular square Jiriho z Podebrad locates amazing cafes, bakeries and restaurants and there is a farmer´s market 4 times a week.
Getting to my home
We are about 15 minutes from the Main Train Station (you can take a direct tram) or 45 minutes from the airport (by bus and metro).
Nearest airport
Václav Havel Airport
Getting around
Shops are a few minutes on foot and tram and metro stops as well.

People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
This is our family, Yveta, Brian, Oskar, Te and Frankie.
Me show our students around my favourite spots of Prague.
The main room: kitchen/dining/living room. In August, it will be much nicer! Right now the flat is occupied by tenants.
The building and the apartment is very well preserved containing many original art noveau features. During Communism, many such features were destroyed but this building was luckily untouched!
This is the view from the kitchen/living room and one bedroom. The area consists of this type of apartment buildings, built in 1900s.
And this is our house, building in 1900.
Our apartment door is on the right. Art Nuveou featuers of the house are clearly visible here.
The view into green backyard, a very quiet place for sleeping and relaxing.
This is view from the back bedroom, the backyard is quiet and can be used for relaxation.
The farmer´s market at nearby Jiriho z Podebrad Square.
The Jiriho z Podebrad square is the heart of the neighbourhood. This is the famous modern church built by Joze Plecnik in the middle of the square.
This is the view from the Riegrovy sady park which is nearest and most popular park of the area. People like to sit on this slope and watch the city. There is a number of outdoor cafes in the park and a great playground.
This is the view from the Riegrovy sady park at night.
This is another park in Vinohrady called Grebovka with a beatiful caved Grotta. There are other interesting areas in this park including vineyards and playgrounds.
This is another nice park called Parukarka, also with great views of the city and a number of cool playgrounds.
One of many playgrounds in our area.
We like to get creative with playgrounds!
Our children have spent many happy days on this outdoor trampoline!
Now they prefer this basketball court which is right next to the trampoline and wooden castle.
These funny babies are crawling up and down the Zizkov TV tower, a structure some love some hate which is very close to our home. We grew to love it with its amazing observatory, restaurant, minigolf in the summer and ice-skating ring in the winter (at the foot of it).
You can sit by a fire in a nearby park!
Typical houses of the neighbourhood.
There is this amazing roof top bar near our house where you can chill after a long day sight seeing! :)
You can even make your own cool notebook as a souvenir in a nearby workshop!
Or you can paint your own mug in a wonderful cafe near the Prague Castle.
Or you can blow your own glass product in this cool glass workshop!
Prague is a perfect base for trips around the Czech Republic, for example to the most charming town of Central Europe - Cesky Krumlov.
Ceske Krumlov has one of the very few perfectly preserved baroque theaters in the world!
