General overview

Set in a sub- tropical private, garden. 1 min walk to the Rainbow Falls Waterfalls where there is a swimming area in the summer. The Rainbow Falls walking track goes down 4 half kilometres to the Stone Store. It is a great walking/jogging track. The house is a 4 bedroom/3 bathroom house. The main bedroom has a new king size bed, with shower/toilet en-suite. The 2nd main bedroom is a self contained unit with a deck, fridge, toaster and coffee/tea making facilities with a shower/toilet en-suite, tv and brand new king size bed. The 3rd bedroom has a king single suitable for a child. The 4th bedroom is currently used as a tv/games room and has a brand new king size sofa bed. The house has been recently renovated with a new kitchen, appliances with new carpet, beds, linen and furniture. There is 2 outdoor living areas including a new Weber BBQ.

The space

The house has a very zen, resort, sub tropical feel with a relaxing, peaceful and quiet environment to enjoy life in Northland. There is Sky Tv, Sky Sports, Netflix. The family bathroom has a bath. There is a seperate toilet. We have paddle boards, 2 brand new fishing kayaks and rods with roof rack. Snorkel gear and surfboards.

Close to all the amenities of Kerikeri & Waipapa for restaurants/cafes, supermarkets etc, A great base to explore Paihia/Russell, Kerikeri & Northland and its beaches. Our area is very popular for retired couples to enjoy the lifestyle of the Bay of Islands and also for families - often coming for a term or longer, as the local schools (1 private, 1 public), host international students with options for surfing or sailing.

We are 2 retired adults with an 11 year old son who is a keen skier and surfer. We are flexible and are always keen to swap to destinations for surfing or skiing. We prefer longer exchanges of 2-3 months and like to plan in advance. We are open to all enquiries in a surf or ski location. At this time we are particularly interested in Hawaii, Bali, Noosa, Gold Coast and Park City Ski Resort. However, we are interested in any place located in resort. We have completed 4 wonderful exchanges (we are also on Home Exchange website) and are keen to continue as they were all fantastic experiences.
