General overview
Our home is a beautiful converted Victorian terrace, tranquil but close to buzzy Brighton. The house is full of light and contemporary and classic features, We're very near to two gorgeous parks, three fantastic pubs and lots of local bakers and stores. Our neighbourhood is tranquil and friendly but only 2O minutes' walk (or a 5 minute bus journey) from all the restaurants and boutiques buzzy central Brighton has to offer. Seafront is only another 10 minutes' walk from there.
The space
We have a generous kitchen/diner opening onto a small but private south-west facing garden, large living room with library and cocktail bar. We have two king/double bedrooms, one further small double in the chilled out loft room, plus one large family bathroom, downstairs toilet and utility.
We have TV with Netflix, integrated sound system, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, integrated oven and induction hob, central and underfloor heating in all rooms.
Guest access
The house is on three floors. Living space has 4 steps down to kitchen/diner but more stairs/landings to different bedrooms so unfortunately may not be suitable for people who have difficulty with stairs.
Notes
We have a very sweet but independent 12-year-old cat. She has a cat flap to enter & return & is out most of the day.

Neighbourhood
The Preston Park/Fiveways neighbourhood in Brighton is only 1 mile/1.5km from the city centre but has a gorgeous, chilled out vibe, and all the amenities you could ask for. We have two gastro-pubs 2 minutes' walk, two convenience stores the same distance, and two stunning Victorian parks for running, tennis, cycling and picnics. At Fiveways (6 minutes' walk), there are independent boutiques, restaurants, cafes, artisan baker, greengrocer, butcher, toy shop restaurants, and hair & beauty salons. The bus stop 2 minutes' away has buses to the city centre and sea front every 10 minutes, but it's also an easy 25 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops Brighton is famous for. You can visit Brighton Pavilion, the pier, our theatres and comedy clubs and so many more. By car, bus or train, you can reach London (50 miles/1 hour by train) or explore the Sussex Downs and stunning coastline.
Getting to my home
Preston Park has its own train station, coming from Gatwick Airport, and going straight into central London in less than one hour. There are two further stations serving the whole of this coastal area. You can drive easily and there is residents' parking - we can usually provide some vouchers for your stay if we have plenty of notice.
Nearest airport
Gatwick airport - 26 miles, Heathrow Airport - 64 miles
Getting around
Less than 7 minutes' walking distance to all amenities, 20 minutes into city centre. Buses frequent and good value. Driving is easy but parking quite expensive in tourist areas.

We love meeting new people, exploring new locations and especially trying out new cuisines. We're interested in British and European destinations, especially those where we can drive, and ideally bring our small former therapy dog, who is a brilliant traveller.
