Mark and Joanne

We are a professional healthy non smoking couple in our 50’s and have recently sold our accommodation business that we owned and operated for 13 years and are now transitioning into retirement. Travelling for us while we owned the business was always hectic and busy, revolving around business and travel agency appointments. We now want to slow our pace, spend time in new areas and discover local communities. We owned Narrows Escape Rainforest Retreat, a luxury boutique hotel in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland from 2006 until 2019. With just six cottages catering to couples, we enjoyed the close connection to our guests. We managed all aspects of the business, including maintenance, housekeeping, gardening and guest services, ensuring the guest experience was second to none.
