Neighbourhood

Hasselt is a pleasant city, with tasty restaurants and lots of shopping fun! In the winter period there are Hasselt Winterland and also the Christmas Alley in the center. We live 2.5 km from the Grote Markt, just outside the Grote Ring. You can easily park your car at our house. Hasselt is the central city of the province of Limburg (Belgium) and is known for its great cycling network and hiking opportunities. In addition, you will find unique heritage here (Tongeren, Sint-Truiden,...) and there are beautiful wellness centers. We are happy to give you suggestions in your area of interest. (restaurants, excursions, hikes, must sees,...) What we definitely recommend is the center of Hasselt with the new district 'Quartier Bleu', Bokrijk with its heritage and walking or cycling activities, the Japanese garden which is unique in Europe, Sparx (the largest sportainment park in Europe) or the jenever museum (the famous drink of Hasselt), and much more! An hour's drive takes you to Antwerp, Brussels or Aachen (Germany). Maastricht is only half an hour's drive away, and so is Tongeren (the oldest city in Belgium). You can also easily take the train to Antwerp or Brussels.

Nearest airport

The nearest airport is Brussels or Eindhoven, each a 1-hour drive away.

Getting Around

There are buses in the area to go to Hasselt center, but otherwise a car is more convenient for shopping and trips.
