Neighbourhood

Berlin Friedrichshain is one of Berlins most popular neighbourhoods. It's know for it's vibrant subculture and art scene and offers lots of small shops, cafés, restaurant, bars and clubs. You can definitely enjoy the nightlife here but also retreat to the more calm areas and beautiful parks. Must sees for us in the neighbourhood: - The "East Side Gallery" - see street art on one of the last pieces of the Berlin Wall - Visit the farmers market (Sat) or flea market (Sun) on Boxhagener Platz or at the RAW area - See the Karl-Marx-Allee with it's stalinist architecture - Relax at the "Volkspark Friedrichshain" - Enjoy the many small shops and café around "Simon-Dach-Straße"

Getting around

Our apartment has excellent access to public transport and you can easily get anywhere in Berlin. Tram Station "Grünberger Str.": 1min walk - Line M10 Subway Station "Frankfurter Tor": 6 min walk - Line U5 with direct connection to city center and main station City train and Subway stations "Warschauer Straße": 12 min walk - Lines S 3,5,7,9 and U1,2 with direct connection to the airport Berlin is also very "bikeable" with many bike lanes and streets. You can use our bikes if they fit you.

Hi! We're Sarah & Viktor. We're both 41 years old and live in Friedrichshain - one of the most lively and lovely neighbourhoods of Berlin. Sarah works in Marketing and Viktor is a freelance Data Analyst. We can work remotely and are quite open and flexible with our swapping time and location within Europe. Exchanging overseas would also be a dream in the future with longer planning :) We both love to travel but are quite new to home exchange.
