Close to the wine route and located between Strasbourg (Unesco World Heritage Site) and Colmar, large very modern house in the heart of a very quiet village but a stone's throw from all amenities (supermarkets, multiplex, bowling alley, train station, motorways, Entzheim airports (20 minutes), Basel (50 minutes), Karlsruhe-Baden (50 minutes), Zurich and Frankfurt (two hours), shops and restaurants).
In summer, as in winter, you can also discover the Baden-Württemberg region and its Black Forest as well as Europapark, voted the best amusement park in Europe.
Wonderful walks to do. Germany is also very well equipped with swimming pools, bathing places and summer tobogganing (rodelbahn).
Switzerland, located an hour's drive away, is also conducive to walks and discoveries.
In winter, the first downhill and cross-country ski slopes are a 30-minute drive away (snow tyres compulsory). You can enjoy other larger ski resorts an hour from the house (Lac Blanc, La Bresse, the Schnepfenried... etc).
The Christmas Markets are usually open until December 31st, with less people after the 24th!
Our guests can also use our bikes (1 men's bike, 1 women's bike, 1 women's electric bike, an electric scooter)
We can offer you one of our vehicles during the exchange (Prius + 7 seats).
We have a cat, Poppy, who is making a living. She will still need a few cuddles and a bowl of kibble regularly. If you want to go on an expedition for two or three days, don't hesitate to tell us in advance and we will contact our catsitter :-)
Unfortunately, an exchange with a family with a dog will not be possible....
The Space
Modern house with 4 bedrooms including two master suites and two other children's bedrooms with single bed which share a third bathroom.
The children can meet in the games room in the basement to play a game of table football or play on the console in the cool (barely 18 degrees in the middle of summer!)
Terrace not overlooked, large garden and courtyard in front of the house to play ball, rollerblading, skateboarding... etc
Large garden with vegetable garden in season with vegetables available to our guests, outdoor games (net, snowshoes, etc.). etc) and of course the 7mx4m swimming pool, very appreciable after a beautiful day exploring the villages of the Wine Route!
The pool is equipped with an electric cover to be closed every evening, but no alarm or barrier, according to French safety obligations.
Guest Access
House with two floors (ground floor, 1st floor with the garden, 2nd floor with the bedrooms)
There is no public transport from our village, but we can make one of our vehicles available to our guests.

We are a couple in our early fourties with two children (Matilda, 13 & Robin, 11).
Benoît is French -from Strasbourg - and Tessa was born in the Uk but raised in France. The whole family is bilingual and Tessa also speaks fluent Spanish, having lived in Seville for 2 years.
Benoît works as a civil servant and is an enthusiastic drum player and Tessa works as a designer from home (www.littlefishshop.fr) as well as an interpreter and translator.
We love travelling around the world with our children (or not!), and enjoy tasty food and good wine!
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
