General Overview

Well maintained chalet, beautiful terrace, not overlooked, garden, in a very accessible mountain village (10 minutes from the A40). 5 minutes by car from the ski resort of Les Carroz (open until 12/04/25), shuttle possible 200 m from the chalet to the chairlift of Les Carroz.... and 30 minutes by car from the one in Flaine (open until 19/04, cold hole, always snow even in spring, interconnection with the resort of Les Carroz, organized transport from Les Carroz to Flaine, same massif but you have to climb higher up the mountain). Open to vehicle exchange too. Here you need snow tires. As we are not there for a part of April 2026, we are looking to land in Corsica or equivalent in August 2026, in a staggered exchange, but with the same people as those coming to us.

The Space

*On level 1 there is 1 entrance, 2 double bedrooms in 160, 1 toilet and 1 bathroom and 1 laundry room. *On level 2 there is living room + dining room + kitchen in the same open space + 1 bathroom + 1 toilet + 1 condemned room (small office full of mess) *On level 3 there is 1 double bedroom in 140 and the mezzanine with 1 bed in 90 and 1 bed in 140. You can also add a mattress to a person's floor.

Guest Access

*small spiral staircase between the levels (chalet on 3 levels), not recommended for children under 3 years old; *external staircase more convenient to reach the terrace on level 2, but more in summer than in the middle of winter. In April there should be no more snow in the garden.

*We love hiking and we will guide you to various proposals according to your desires and levels, if you wish, with maps and topos (in summer). The lake photographed is that of Pormenaz, opposite the Fiz, from Servoz (06/2023) *We also like spas and good restaurants, and we have a few addresses. The spas in Les Carroz is one of the cheapest in the valley (around 20-25 euros) and is very nice to relax after skiing.

Neighbourhood

*Immediate environment: Bakery and sorting at 200 m, historic village of Arâches, departure of hikes from the chalet, shuttle to the ski in front of the bakery. *Village resort of Les Carroz 2 km away (or 30' walk): restaurant, bars, mountain bike lifts, bike rental shop, high mountain and medium mountain guide, 3 small supermarkets, swimming pool and spa at the top, pump track, tree climbing in summer, rail sledging in winter and summer, etc. *On the ascent between the A40 and Arâches: caving and canyoning, equipped climbing site *Towards La Frasse at 3': equipped climbing site *Flaine at 10-15 km: various activities in summer + nightclub (open in summer, to be checked?) ascent for mountain bike descents and the beautiful Platés desert + golf. In winter, there is always snow there. It is a high-altitude resort, well oriented to keep the snow away. *at the A40 motorway exit, a big super U *about 45' away: Geneva and its lake, Chamonix and the Aiguille du Midi, the cable car crossing the sea of ice, Annecy pearl of the Alps ... and the start of dream hikes in the Giffre valley, in the Aravis (which can be seen from the chalet), in the Aiguilles Rouge massif, etc.

Getting to my home

*By plane from Geneva or Lyon. possibility of bus or train to reach Cluses from the airport. There are then buses to Arâches if the timetable fits. *By road, A40 to Cluses, exit 19 + 10 minutes of small hairpin bends, no more, to go up in height, and in the cool! The road is wide and pleasant to climb. *Between Nov and March, snow tyres are mandatory. If you rent a vehicle, make sure of it, or choose a local rental company.

Getting Around

*Bus 200 m from the chalet, to go either up (Les Carroz and Flaine) or down (Cluses) *On foot by a small hiking trail that starts from the Chalet: Carroz at 30', and the supermarket spar at 15' *To enjoy the wonders of the Alps, a car is a plus.
