General overview

The yurt is on an acre in a tropical rain forest with lots of coqui frogs filling the air at night. Geckos are also plentiful. There is NO A/C, but there are fans in the room. Depending on the season we have avocado, star fruit, guava and tangerine trees you are welcome to pick. We’re about 40 minutes to Volcano National park and black sand beaches, where turtles frequent. This is more like camping in a campground with shared, detached shower and kitchen. Your sleeping space (the yurt) locks and is only for you , not shared. There is there is very limited water so short showers are a must. The detached camp kitchen is also used by an elderly gentleman who lives in his own home next to the yurt. We have outdoor only cats that hang out on the deck.

The space

Our yurt has walls dividing 2 rooms (no doors in rooms) a loft, and a powder room. The camp kitchen and shower are detached and shared. There in no a/c, just fans. There is a private toilet and sink in the yurt

Guest access

Yurt is post’n’pier with access by stairs only.

Notes

VERY limited water. We are on catchment meaning the only water we have is what we catch from the rain. If you love long showers or taking several showers a day, this is not the place for you.
