General overview

Our house is warm and modern. You will also enjoy a pretty, intimate garden at the back.

The space

Our charming stone cottage has lots of character and offers good comfort. The property is surrounded by a pretty garden full of flowers on the front and at the back. The backyard is well landscaped to enjoy the beautiful summer evenings. The house also has parking for two cars. On the air-conditioned ground floor is the large living room with a fireplace equipped with a brand new slow combustion wood stove. There is plenty of room to sit on the sofas and armchairs and a connected TV screen. The superb dining room has large French windows which open onto the garden to enjoy the murmur of the two fountains. There is also a large, fully equipped kitchen with all the accessories (we love cooking!) and a counter suitable for aperitifs. The kitchen has just been renovated and has a new induction cooker and a new fridge. The ground floor also includes a beautiful bedroom with a brand new built-in double bed with an excellent mattress. This bedroom also has its own en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Upstairs we find the air-conditioned master bedroom, with large (queen) bed, as well as a full bathroom with separate walk-in shower and bath. There are also two offices upstairs, one of which is available for teleworking. As for the basement, which is mainly used for storage, there is the laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer at your disposal. The central vacuum cleaner is located in the same room. Although we are open to all offers, we prefer to receive our guests for a minimum stay of 5 nights.

Notes

We are often told that we have the most beautiful house on the street. That may be true, but you will still feel at home there! Also, in the event of a reciprocal exchange, we will take care of your home as if it were our own. P.S. We no longer have a dog since our beautiful Bacchus died.

Neighbourhood

Our street is without a doubt one of the most beautiful in the neighborhood. The Rosemont/la Petite-Patrie district is famous for its quiet little streets, its pretty row houses, its parks (on the street corner with games for children and pétanque) but also its local shops (rue Beaubien with cinema of neighborhood, bakery, cafes, restaurants, bars, etc.). Several of Montreal's best restaurants are located in the neighborhood like Mastard and Mon Lapin, not to mention nice bistros like Chez Roger, La Boulette or Coeur de loup. Our little in-house guide will help you make the best choice. The Jean-Talon market is two metro stations away or a short ride on a Bixi (self-service bike). You can stock up on local producers of fruits, vegetables, maple syrup and other delicacies. The Iberville metro station is less than 100 m from the house. You will be in the city center in less than 30 minutes. The network of cycle paths is well developed in the surrounding area and a Bixi self-service bicycle station is around the corner. Montreal is a vibrant city with a great variety of festivals and cultural events (theater, museums, cinema, dance, opera, symphony orchestra, Olympic stadium, Biodome, botanical garden, planetarium, insectarium, etc.). Also, our city's reputation as the gastronomic capital is well established and attracts gourmets from all over America. In short, we invite you to have a great experience by coming to spend a few days at home.
