We have a small home gym available for use- with another view of the river! The second (upstairs) bedroom, with large Queen bed and two closets. The second (downstairs) bathroom with shower. A paved bike path connects just across the street- walk for miles if you want to!

General overview

Note: we're prioritizing an exchange in Paris during August 2024 for the Olympics, as are our 2 friends

The space

We (Ashley and Dan) are in love with our riverfront 2-bedroom/2-bathroom home! It has beautiful views of the Mohawk River and you can fish from the 3 decks, swim from our dock, or ride on our pontoon boat or canoe. Enjoy relaxing outside in the HOT TUB, hammock, next to the outdoor fire pit, or use our gas/charcoal grill! Our main floor bedroom has a huge California King VERY comfortable bed and the upstairs bedroom has a Queen bed (both larger than Doubles). Incredibly warm and QUIET comfortable home, with a gorgeous kitchen just renovated in 2021 and large sectional sofa with gas fireplace and smart TV in the living room (extra sleeping room on the couch in addition to the 2 bedrooms). My office and desk is also free to use and has a view of the river on three sides and deck access. Tons of amenities like air conditioning, a bathroom towel warmer, dishwasher, large refrigerator, basement home gym, fast WiFi, Smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon & more, lots of board games/puzzles, floats and rafts for river swimming, a fully equipped kitchen (toaster, oven/Wolf stove, coffee maker, microwave, etc.) and new washer/dryer. This is really a resort home!

Notes

No smoking at all inside please. Pets will be considered on an individual basis. The house is next to the river and probably not suitable for small children (there's also a spiral staircase between the living room and basement that could be unsafe if small children aren't watched).

Neighbourhood

Our house is across from a paved bike path (see the last photo), so you can walk or bike for miles through the trees. We're minutes away from shopping, restaurants and more in the Latham, Troy, and Albany areas (we are open to allowing use of our car (SUV) as well), and there are also plenty of Lyft/Uber drivers. Albany is the NY State Capital. -Only 30 minutes away from the Saratoga, NY Horse Race Course, America's oldest sporting venue (1864), rated a World's Top 10 Sporting Venue by Sports Illustrated! https://www.nyra.com/saratoga/ -Only 2.5 hours north of NYC/Manhattan, NY, an easy drive or Amtrak train day trip! Getting around

Our driveway has parking for at least 5 cars and we're open to discussing use of our car (5-person SUV). Uber and Lyft have many drivers around, also.

Hello! My husband (Dan) and I have been together since 2011 and love to travel! He has his own IT/computer business and I work in mental health policy and training. We live in Albany (the state capital), New York, USA- only 30 minutes from the famous Saratoga Horse Race Course and about 2.5 hours north of New York City/Manhattan! We love living along the Mohawk River and swimming and boating all summer long.
