General overview
Hello, and welcome to our home. Close enough to the city of Windsor & Detroit to enjoy what they have to offer, but far enough away to feel safe and enjoy suburban living.
Our home is situated in the suburb of LaSalle. www.lasalle.ca We are very near the most southern tip of Canada, (Point Pelee), therefore the weather here is the warmest in the country. There is transportation to the city of Windsor, but it is about a 20 minute walk to a bus stop, so you may want a vehicle to use while here, although Uber is very popular.
There is a new inground heated pool and large covered patio, grill and private fenced yard to enjoy while poolside.
The neighborhood is extremely quiet, and safe. About a 30 minute drive, and you will be in wine country, boasting approximately 18 wineries in the beautiful countryside. There are also several nearby golf courses within a short drive.
In cooler weather, we get a small amount of snow, but have 2 fireplaces, one gas, one electric. We have a new infrared sauna for two - to warm you up in the cold weather - with Bluetooth.
There are several wineries within a 40 minute drive in the country.
With your valid passport, there are 2 crossings (soon to be 3) into the city of Detroit, which has a vibrant downtown, and is home to the Tigers, Lions, and Pistons. There's so much to do around here.
The space
Our home is a raised ranch, which means stairs, so this home is not considered accessible. 7 stairs up, 7 stairs down. Two full bathrooms both with tub / shower. King sized adjustable bed and television in the main br, double bed in 2nd bedroom, and another full sized bed in the lower level bedroom. We have 2 fireplaces and a sauna for those chilly days and nights.

Neighbourhood
A quiet residential neighborhood with many many trails for cycling and walking.
The city of Windsor has 2 great distilleries: JP Wiser/Hiram Walker distillery and Wolfhead distillery.
Windsor has both a university and community college, and a sculpture park along the waterfront.
you can easily cross over to the USA. COVID-19 border measures expired on Sept. 30/2022!
Detroit baseball, football and hockey games are all very close by, as well as concerts @ Ford Field, and Comerica Park. Tickets must be purchased in advance! Downtown Detroit offers many new bars, restos and hotels as well. It's not the Detroit you may remember. Google it and you'll be surprised!
There are also River tours (Windsor Premier Cruises) along the Detroit River, which are fun! (www.windsorpremiercruises.com)
There are waterfront restaurants, which offer stunning views and great food. (Harbour House, Bistro at the River, Fourteen, the Keg, and many others).
Getting to my home
We have a full driveway to park in. There will likely be a vehicle for your use while you're here.
Nearest airport
Windsor has an international airport, and Detroit Metro airport is about 30 mins drive. We always fly out of Detroit, it's a great airport.
