I live in a typical 1950’s free standing house in a little coastal setting 30 km from Cape Town city center. I love my home, it is not a designer home but a family home. It is comfortable, cozy and peaceful. I’m walking distance from Fish Hoek swimming beach, Silvermine wetlands, shops , banks and a Government hospital . My home is also on route to Cape Point Nature Reserve and the historical Groot Constantia wine farm.
The space
It is an older house with high ceilings and wooden floors. The house consists of 2 big bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms , a third bedroom converted into office space, lounge, dining room and kitchen. The front and back garden is enclosed.
Notes
There is a little rustic cocktail pool in the back garden , built by myself and my gardener. ;)

Neighbourhood
Fish Hoek residential area is in the valley surrounded by mountains. It is a quiet and friendly neighborhood. My house is situated in the avenues walking distance to Fish Hoek Beach, Clovelly Golf Club and the Fish Hoek Wetlands. I am walking distance to three supermarkets, two pubs and several restaurants. Fish Hoek is very close to Kalkbay which is a very vibey bohemian neighborhood with trendy eateries , pubs and shops - a must visit. A 10 minute drive and you are at Simons town, our naval hub and Boulders Beach where the Penguins breed. A little further drive and you can visit our famous fauna and flora at Cape Point Nature Reserve and the Ostrich Farm. Cape Town city center and the V@A Waterfront is 30km away about a 25minute drive.

Getting to my home
Cape Town International Airport is 25km away from Fish Hoek. Public Transport is not great in this region so it would be advisable to arrange for Car Hire at the airport - prices are very affordable. Uber is also a option.
