General overview

Looking for A year long swap in Melbourne, Vic! We have a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom semi-detached in the middle of the city. 15 minutes distance to everywhere in town. We have a finished basement and a backyard with trampoline, climber and garden. Close to schools (catchment options for French Immersion, public and Catholic with bussing) and in a family neighborhood.

The space

Three bedrooms are upstairs, one room with a Queen sized bed and the other two with Double/Full. Upstairs bathroom has tub/shower combo. Main floor has living room, eating space, kitchen, half bath and access to the backyard. Basement holds treadmill, weights,(way too many toys), hanging out space and desk for work. It also has laundry. Our backyard grows wild strawberries and raspberries, a small garden and table and chairs, climber and trampoline. We do have two vehicles that could be up for conversation as well.

Guest access

2 floors plus basement (stairs) We do have 3 fish tanks (two freshwater, one saltwater) but they could be removed if necessary to a family's house if doing a long term swap.

Neighbourhood

Right in the middle of Kingston. Close to grocery stores, shopping centre's, Costco and schools. 5 min drive to the water where there are gorgeous parks, museums and college/university. Military city. 1 min walk to public transport 5 mins drive to the Trans Canada highway to get you to other large cities. Toronto - 2 hours away Ottawa - 1.5 hours away Montreal - 2.5-3 hours (depending on your driving!)

Getting to my home

Toronto - 2 hours away Ottawa - 1.5 hr away Montreal - 2.5 hours away (depending on your driving) We mainly use the Ottawa airport for international and domestic flights because it's the easiest airport. Kingston does have its own airport as well, but pricey. We're also about 40 minutes from the Syarcuse NY border.

Nearest airport

1.5 hr

Getting around

Super easy. Walkable to everything you need, but you can also hop on a bus for public transport. Potentially use our cars. Take a train or bus to other cities.
