General overview

Our vacation home is situated in Northeast Tucson/Tanque Verde at the base of the Catalina Mountains, near the entrance to Coronado National Forest and Hwy to Mt Lemmon and just a few minutes from Saguaro National Park. It's a spacious Santa Fe style residence that sleeps 8 with multiple living and dining spaces as well as beautiful outdoor areas. A large lap pool and hot tub are featured in the backyard next to a wood burning fireplace and lots of patio space. Outdoor kitchen includes a grill island. The front courtyard offers sweeping Southwest views of the Rincon Mountain Range and the city of Tucson. Three of the five bedrooms include ensuite full bathrooms, and the large kitchen is equipped for gourmet cooking. Home is 10 minutes drive from local shopping and restaurants, and 35 minutes from University of Arizona and downtown Tucson.

The space

Our Santa Fe ranch style home features stucco walls and high ceilings with large windows to enjoy the desert views and plentiful access to the patios, pool area and outdoor spaces. Main living area includes two large couches, game table and fireplace. Large kitchen has its own breakfast nook with a table that seats 6, in addition to the main dining room with large table accommodating 8 people. Each bedroom is equipped with ample closet space as well as night stands/reading lights and extra linens. Laundry room has ample counter space for sorting and folding laundry.

Guest access

Single level floor plan has all rooms situated at ground level with easy access between indoors and outdoors. The den entrance is wheelchair accessible. Front driveway and parking area has room for multiple vehicles. Our cleaner charges $250 - $400 per clean depending on how many guests and how long it takes to clean. Because this is a rental property we ask that exchange partners pay the cleaner directly after their stay.

Notes

Our home's location in the Sonoran high desert means extreme temperatures are possible during the summer months, so be sure to stay hydrated when spending time outdoors. Also, be aware that wildlife encounters are part of life in the desert environment. You may see jackrabbits, coyotes, javelinas, snakes and other various and sundry desert critters.
