Lucie has a lovely spacious and well equipped house, definitely more like a house than an apartment. Ceilings are high, and because it has a top floor above other buildings, it is really bright and quiet. The terrace is very pleasant when the day gets hot . We liked the local area, useful shops and an excellent supermarket, and a short walk to a tram line. There is such a lot to do in the 30 km around Den Haag, pretty towns, museums, a wonderful huge beach. Voorlinden art museum, just up the coast a bit is the finest contemporary art museum we have been to.
There is just one difficulty about this place, the rhree flights of stairs! The Netherlands are notorious for steeply pitched stairs, you often find them in older buildings.
Thank you for inviting us to your nice home! We enjoyed to take walks to the sea every day- what a treat! Den Haag is a friendly and charming place to live and the tulip fields of Leiden were amazing- thank you for the idea!
It was a pleasure to have you in our apartment! The exchange went really well; the all process was very smooth ;-) Thank you for taking a good care of our place !
Lucie and her family were great guests, everything was perfectly clean when we got back. Communication was easy and prompt, Lucie and her husband were very helpful, with advice when we needed local knowledge, and also gave us a lift to the station which we much appreciated. I was delighted that we were treated as friends, they shared their Irish experiences and we had a lovely chat with them, as we overlapped for an hour in their house
Thank you for taking good care of our home, plants and guinea pigs! Was a great pleasure to have you and even be able to meet up for an ice cream :)
We had a truly wonderful stay at your beautiful Dublin home! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and at ease, as if it were our own place. Your house is incredibly comfortable and spacious, providing a perfect base for our holiday.
We especially appreciated all the useful information you left for us about the area, which helped us make the most of our time. Having the use of your car was super convenient and allowed us to explore much more widely. We loved taking the bus into the vibrant city center and enjoyed many lovely walks in the surrounding area.
Thank you so much Linde and James for this great exchange, it was great meeting you both too. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, a super experience!
It was an absolute pleasure hosting Linde and James in our home in The Hague! They were truly great guests, communication with them was consistently easy and prompt, making the entire exchange seamless.
We were delighted to meet them, and we really enjoyed the lovely chat we shared during our overlap, sharing our Irish and Dutch experiences.
We're so glad they enjoyed exploring the local area, from the shops and supermarket to the tram line, and discovering the wonderful attractions around The Hague, including the beach and the Voorlinden art museum. We hope the stairs weren't too much of a challenge! We would highly recommend them as exchange partners and would love to welcome them back anytime.
We really enjoyed our stay in Pia's home. The house is really well located, in a nice neighbourhood with possibility to enjoy nice walks in the forest and also easy to access Berlin center by public transport.
We had a really good time overall between quiet moment, enjoying the calm of the house and more exciting moment while discovering vibrant Berlin city!
Thanks for welcoming us so good and the nice tips on the city!
It was a pleasure to have Pia and her family in our apartment! The exchange went really well; the all process was very smooth ;-) They are really good guest, took a good care of our place! They can come back when they want !
