Our house is in a residential suburban area 15 minutes from Dublin Airport. We have a large green area beside our house that our kids like to play in with other children from our street. A 3 minute walk from our house you will find a selection of shops such as a supermarket, café, bakery (with amazing cream cakes!), pharmacy, hair and beauty salon, a butcher, a deli and a fast food takeaway. We have a larger selection of shops and restaurants 10 minutes by bike or 5 minutes by car. Within 10 minutes in the car you will find cinemas, gyms, swimming pools, lots of parks and a beautiful coastal walking and cycling pathway. A 10 minute drive will also get you to a selection of golf courses and beautiful beaches for long walks. There is a bus stop to the city centre a short walk from our house and it takes about 10 minutes to get to the city centre. There are buses to the centre every 10 minutes.
The city centre, well known for its rich musical and literary history, is 2.5 miles away and is easily accessible by bus or car. There are numerous places of interest, museums, galleries, parks and monuments in the centre. There are plenty of theatres, pubs, live music venues, night clubs and restaurants to keep you entertained. The bus stop is less than 5 minute walk from the house and buses run until the early hours of the morning! To see more of Dublin check out

For those who like the outdoors there is plenty in the Dublin area. It is a golfers paradise with over 70 golf courses within one hour drive of our house (We will leave you golf clubs and equipment!). The Wicklow Mountains are one hour by car if you like hiking and walking. We are just a 20 minute drive to the pretty coastal towns of Malahide and Howth - famous for fishing, sailing, walking and seafood restaurants! There are lots of parks, tennis courts and beaches nearby, as well as sailing clubs, kite surfing clubs, kayaking clubs etc.
Our house is a short drive from a major motorway connecting Dublin to all other parts of the country. It is an ideal base to explore the rest of the country with Glendalough, Belfast (Titanic museum), Galway, Carlingford, the Wicklow Mountains and the Mourne Mountains just some of the many scenic places within a couple of hours drive.
There's plenty for kids to do in Dublin with the national wax museum, Dublin zoo, the Leprechaun museum, Croke Park stadium with museum of gaelic sports (walking distance), the Ark children's cultural centre, Sea Safari cruises etc.
A car is not necessary because we have great public transport around the city and we will leave you bicycles. We can also arrange exchange of our 2016 Nissan Qashqai.
