Ginnie and Michael are exceptional hosts who made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived at their place. Their home is beautiful, impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, and located just a few steps from the beach. Their little corner of Australia is absolutely breathtaking and the perfect place to relax. We truly enjoyed spending time with them, sharing interesting conversations and a delicious fish and chips dinner while watching the sunset. Their kindness, generosity, and warm hospitality made our stay even more memorable. We would gladly exchange with them again if we had the opportunity.

We spent three wonderful days with Carin and Gerhard in Bargara. During our stay, Carin gave us plenty of great recommendations for places to visit, snorkeling spots, beaches, and other local attractions. Gerhard prepared delicious dinners for us each evening. The kids especially loved being able to go kayaking using the equipment they kindly lent us. Their neighbourhood and the town of Bargara are both peaceful and relaxing, while still offering everything you might need. The kids also really enjoyed spending time with their very affectionate dog, Ollie. Our stay with Russell on the Gold Coast was fantastic! His home is a peaceful green retreat with a breathtaking view of the Gold Coast skyline. Despite its tranquil setting, everything is just a short drive away. Russell gave us an incredibly warm welcome and greeted us with delicious homemade hamburgers upon our arrival. Later that evening, he prepared a healthy and tasty dinner that we enjoyed a lot. His generosity and hospitality were remarkable throughout our stay. The following day, although we had originally planned a hospitality exchange, Russell left to visit relatives and kindly entrusted us with his comfortable home for three days. In true home exchange spirit, he did so without expecting anything in return—not even a Pluto! One of our favorite moments was enjoying breakfast on his terrace while taking in the stunning view. My children were also thrilled that Russell generously lent them some bodyboards, allowing them to fully enjoy the beautiful nearby beaches. We loved exploring Springbrook National Park and its magnificent waterfalls, which are only a short drive away, as well as the many beaches and parks close to his home. Russell is a wonderful host, and we feel very fortunate to have met him. We wholeheartedly recommend staying with him to anyone looking for an authentic, relaxing, and memorable Gold Coast experience. We cannot wait to welcome him to Montreal 😊

Our stay at Michelle and James’ house was truly fantastic. Their home is spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The children absolutely loved unwinding in the spa at the end of each day, while I cherished the peaceful evenings spent gazing at the stars. Michelle is a remarkably generous and thoughtful host. She welcomed us with delicious local treats, prepared a lovely dinner for us, and even lent one of her surfboards to the children so they could enjoy practicing their surfing skills at the beautiful beach just a few steps from the house. These thoughtful gestures made our stay feel truly special. The area itself is nothing short of magical. Endless stretches of pristine beaches, breathtaking whale-watching spots, and stunning waterfalls create a little piece of paradise. It is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. What I will remember most, however, is Michelle herself. Beyond her incredible hospitality, I genuinely enjoyed our conversations and the opportunity to get to know her. Had we stayed longer, I am convinced we would have become great friends. I sincerely hope our paths will cross again one day. We had a wonderful stay with Judith and Peter. Their home is ideally located near many beautiful attractions, including Sea Acres National Park, where I particularly enjoyed going for walks. We were also able to enjoy a wide range of activities from their home base, including visiting the Koala Hospital, Billabong Zoo, where we had a memorable family experience with koalas, and watching whales from Tacking Point Lighthouse, among many other things. Their town also offers some beautiful beaches as well :) Judith communicated with me regularly throughout our stay, which was greatly appreciated.

We had a wonderful three-night stay with Denise and Ivan in Belmont. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel incredibly welcome. Denise kindly prepared two dinners for us, including a delicious homemade lasagna, and shared excellent recommendations for family-friendly activities in the area. Ivan who had just returned from a long trip to North Queensland, kindly took out his motorcycles and took my children for a ride they will never forget. We also enjoyed watching the World Cup together and cheering on France, my home country, after Australia and Canada had been eliminated. Their home is spacious, comfortable, and ideally located just minutes from the beach. Even in the middle of the Australian winter, my children had a fantastic time swimming, exploring the caves at Caves Beach, and playing on the sand. One of our favourite outings was the Blackbutt Reserve, where the children could see Australian wildlife up close and enjoy the beautiful playgrounds. The reserve is free to enter, with only a small parking fee. Although I enjoyed visiting Sydney, I much preferred spending time in this beautiful coastal area. We truly hope to return one day and, in the meantime, look forward to welcoming Denise and Ivan to our home in Montreal and showing them the same generosity they showed us. Thank you, Denise and Ivan, for making our stay so memorable.

We had a fantastic stay at Val and Brian’s beach house. Their home is just a short stroll from the stunning Callala Beach, where we enjoyed long walks along the shore. It was also the perfect base for exploring the area. We had an unforgettable experience in Kangaroo Valley, where we saw dozens of kangaroos—including mums with joeys in their pouches—as well as wombats. We also loved visiting Booderee National Park, which is only a short drive away. We hope to have the chance to welcome Val and Brian to Quebec someday!

Garry and his wife, Jan, were wonderful hosts. Although we had only arranged a hospitality exchange, Garry came to pick us up at the airport when we arrived from Melbourne. He drove us to several places of interest around the city and even took us to see kangaroos in a nearby field—our very first encounter with Australian wildlife. Jan prepared delicious dinners for us, and we shared many fascinating conversations about our respective travels, the Indigenous peoples of Australia and Canada, politics, and many other topics. It was an absolute delight! Garry and Jan did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Their home is beautiful, with a stunning garden that is regularly visited by possums and beautiful birds. They were incredibly generous and taught us so much about their wonderful country, which we can’t wait to continue exploring. I believe they enjoyed their visit despite the water heater breaking down during their stay, only to start working again miraculously several days later. Judith and Peter were incredibly patient while I desperately tried to solve the problem with the help of my neighbor and a friend, and while I contacted plumbers throughout the region. We had a very pleasant stay at Carol’s home. Originally, we were supposed to arrange a hospitality exchange, but as Carol had left for a trip to Vietnam, she kindly let us stay in her house without even expecting us to give her a Pluto in return. Carol’s house was spacious and located just a few minutes’ walk from both the beach and the train station, which provides easy access to the city centre in about 20 minutes. The house is tastefully decorated and features a lovely garden. What I appreciated most, however, was the quality of the beds, including both the mattresses and the bedding, which made for an exceptionally comfortable stay.

Julie’s house is an ideal place for anyone seeking peace and quiet, fresh air, and serene sceneries. For anyone coming from outside Canada, you’ll get to enjoy an authentic Canadian experience at her cottage. Her house is spacious, beautifully decorated and offers a magnificent view of the lake, which greatly enhances the calming atmosphere of the place. We spent the Easter weekend there with our family. We were able to truly unwind—reading, enjoying time in the hot tub, taking walks along the lake, and hiking at Parc des Montagnes Noires, just a 10 minute drive away. The chalet is also close to Parc Oméga, which we absolutely love. The house was very clean upon our arrival. It is well equipped and incredibly cozy. The children especially enjoyed having access to board games and embroidery threads to make friendship bracelets… we enjoyed the company of both her very affectionate cats, Percy and Felix. We would very much enjoy exchanging our home with her in the future.

When I arrived at Eline's house in Benalmadena, I was on sick leave, totally exhausted after a very toxic relationship. As soon as I entered Eline's house, I felt immediately better. Her house is very comfortable, tastefully decorated (very zen) with a peaceful and secluded backyard with several areas as relaxing and comfortable as can be. The outdoor space is ideal for reading, relaxing, eating, having a drink and chatting, sun bathing and of course swimming. Her gorgeous little pool and backyard are our of sight of neighbours, which is nice for anyone in need for a quiet vacation. The sea can also be seen from her terrace. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. My kids had a lot of fun at her pool. She also has super friendly neighbours :) Eline's house was super clean. Also, the fact that she has a parking space makes her house even more convenient. We definitely had an amazing time in Andalousia and would love to come back in the future ! We would also be delighted to welcome Eline in Montreal as she was very friendly and helpful before and during our stay.

We had a great time at Jason and Tatiana’s apartment in Lisbon. Their place is ideally located to explore both the city of Lisbon and the surrounding villages, including our very favourite: Obidos. Even though my kids are still quite young, we managed to see a lot, to enjoy the numerous beaches around Lisbon and to discover countless little restaurants at walking distance from Jason and Tatiana’s place. Tatiana and I communicated regularly during our stay at each other’s place, which was really nice. We also got to meet each other upon our arrival, which was nice. Our hosts were also very kind and attentive. They shared their beach stuff for us to use, bought us delicious Portuguese pastries before leaving for their exchange and also offered us Portuguese wine, which we will enjoy back home !!

We had a wonderful stay at Season's place. Her home is ideally located near numerous national and state parks. In just over a week, my kids and I visited 8 parks, including Zion National Park, Snow Canyon, Red Cliffs Recreational Area (very close to their home), Grand Canyon National Park, Antelope Canyon (a must-see and one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to), Bryce Canyon, Red Canyon, and Valley of Fire State Park. The landscapes are absolutely incredible and very diverse! Season's home is close enough to allow day trips while having enough time to hike. My kids loved the stay as well!

Kim was an amazing guest. She took great care of our dog while we were on vacation in Cuba. She regularly sent us pics of our baby while we were on vacation. She also took care of our house as if it was hers and left several attentions for all of us before leaving. She cooked some soup so we'd have sthg to eat upon our return, she left some toys for our dog and my kids, made some homemade dog food for our dog etc We'd gladly have her stay at our place again in the future !

Cassandra is an outstanding hostess. Very attentive, her house was not only very clean, but she also had several attentions in order to make our stay even more pleasant. She left candy and popcorn for the children and a number of pamphlets on activities to do during our stay. She also gave us many suggestions of places to visit and things to do during our stay. She was also a very good guest who left our house very clean, in addition to kindly taking care of our rabbit and especially our dog. I highly recommend her as a guest and hostess!!

Cassandra and her family's home is spacious, comfortable and warm. Also, his house was immaculate when we arrived. It offers a beautiful well-equipped courtyard with a great trampoline that my children enjoyed, spacious bedrooms, with lots of toys for the children, a well-equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The house is located in a quiet residential area not far from Ottawa (20mn) and the Ottawa River offering magnificent views.

Whitney's spacious house is ideally located, close to downtown and Toronto's main attractions. Yet, her neighbourhood is very quiet and all the neighbours were super friendly to us. Whitney provided us with great recommendations for outings and places to visit. We parked our car in their garage and went everywhere by foot and by metro. It is therefore very convenient for whoever doesn't like to drive in a big city or for overseas visitors. My children also got to play with her children's many toys.

Elizabeth and David were excellent hosts. Their huge house is located in a beautiful neighbourhood close to downtown. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Iiulia recommended us several places to visit, beaches to go to, beach clubs to take the kids to without breaking the bank, restaurants etc. En though she had a problem with her car just a few days before our exchange, she made some arrangements for us to have a car during her stay. She also facilitated our arrival by leaving the car for us at the airport, which was very appreciated when we arrived late in the night. We had a great stay at her place and would go back any time!

Iiulia's house is very spacious and located in a very safe area of Cancun, about 20mn from the hotel zone with beautiful white sandy beaches. My kids made several friends at the residence's pool which is equipped with a BBQ to chill at the end of a day.

Nancy and Tom's home is very peaceful and in a great location by the Niagara River and only minutes from the famous Niagara Falls and the town of Buffalo NY. Nancy and Tom were very helpful hosts who provided us with lots of brochures and information on places that my children might be interested in. Highly recommend staying with them if you want to visit the Niagara Falls area.

Jennifer and Rémi's house is absolutely beautiful, very spacious and well equipped. Very comfortable and ideally located in a nice residential area, it offers easy access to the main attractions of Calgary but also to the magnificent Rockies about 1h-1h30 from their house. The house is airy, modern, and what about the master bathroom which we will miss! The house is located within walking distance of many shops, restaurant, pharmacy etc. The house is also occupied by two nice cats that we really enjoyed taking care of.

Rémi and Jennifer, as well as their children, are very friendly. They were always available to answer any questions we may have had during our stay. They gave us valuable advice on places to visit and made many suggestions for hikes in the Rockies, as well as restaurants depending on the places we were visiting. We had the chance to meet them and spend a few moments with them and their children on the way to and from our vacation and it was a great pleasure for us. Animals also take a big place in their lives. They take very good care of their cats and if you have animals in your home, they will take care of them as well, if not better than you! I would definitely recommend them for any home exchange :)
