Just 18 km/ 11 miles away from the historical city of Sibiu, in the middle of Transylvania, you will enjoy our traditionally decorated house, a large garden perfect for relaxing, BBQ, and rural environment that you won't find anywhere else!
The space
Our big home has two parts, the part we provide for exchange has a private entrance and there are 1 spacious living room, 1.5 bathrooms, and 2 bedrooms (one double bedroom and another one with two single beds) , as you can see on the listing photos. We also have 2 single sofa beds that can be set up for up to 6 guests.
We rent out this part of the house sometimes or use it as a guest room for family and friends.
And it’s available to do exchange most of the time.
Guest access
We (Carina, Ovidiu, parents, and a sister) live in the other separated part of the house.
The kitchen is by itself (right next to where you stay) and it’s shared with us if we are at home, so do the yard and the garden. All families are working in day time until late (parents have a guesthouse) so you will have the whole place by yourself most of the time.
Netflix is available on TV in the living room.
We have 2 electric scooters that we can offer for exchange upon discussion. (available to use in our village area only)

Neighbourhood
Disconnect from the daily routine and enjoy the calming quiet of village Gura-Raului, where traditions are still conserved, where people wear their traditional costumes every Sunday at church, where carts are still a good way of transportation. Mountains are surrounding and protecting the village and a river runs through it. During the history, several writers found their peace and inspiration right here, in Gura-Raului. We are expecting guests that are interested in nature, hiking, cycling, fishing, visiting historical places, traditions or the beautiful surroundings.

Carina is from Taiwan and Ovidiu is from Romania.
We both work remotely in the game development industry, living in the countryside of Transylvania, Romania and in the city of Chiayi in Taiwan. We enjoy traveling and outdoor activities, Ovidiu is passionate about fly fishing.
