Getting around
The Rías Baixas of Galicia comprise 300 km. coastline of great natural beauty with countless beautiful beaches with crystal-clear waters along the entire coast and wonderful maritime and inland hiking routes. In addition to being able to enjoy the 2 km sandy beach of A Lanzada, a 10-minute walk from my house. long, one of the best beaches in the European Atlantic and one of the most emblematic in Galicia, in the area there are countless places of great natural, heritage and gastronomic value.
At a distance of between 10 minutes and 1 hour by car you can visit Finisterre, the Muros and Noia estuaries, the Corrubedo dunes, the Arousa estuary, the island of A Toxa and its spas, O Grove, San Vicente do Mar, Cambados, Combarro, Pontevedra, Vigo, Baiona and Tui.
Another essential visit if you stay at my house is to travel by boat to the paradisiacal islands of Cies and Ons, which are part of the valuable Natural Park of the Atlantic Islands.
You can also reach the cities of Ourense and A Coruña in less than 2 hours and the border of Portugal is 1 hour by car and Porto is 2 hours and 15 minutes away.
In terms of gastronomy, the province of Pontevedra and Galicia has been a benchmark for centuries due to the quality of its raw materials. The offer is immense with the possibility of tasting the best seafood, fish, meats and of course a good Albariño wine on the table.
