I designed and built my house in 2016 so it's exactly how I want it, full of light with hints of mid-century modern. There is a pretty rear garden and the street is lined with trees so it has a lovely connection to nature. It is a quiet area but well connected to central Oxford by bus or by a lovely walk through the park. It is easy to visit the Cotswolds or London.
The space
The house is on 3 floors with one bedroom and shower room on the ground floor. Up a short flight of stairs is the double-height kitchen diner connecting directly to the back garden. The living room is on the first floor, bathed in light with windows on 3 sides. On the top floor there is an art room and the main bedroom and bathroom. Please note that the 2 bedrooms are 2 floors apart, each with its own bathroom. Ideal for friends sharing or parent(s) with an older child.

Lesley
Architect and experienced house swapper based in beautiful Oxford. I usually travel with a friend and am particularly interested in long weekend city breaks in Copenhagen, Berlin and Paris, but open to suggestions. I'm very respectful of other people's homes, good at communicating and leave a well-explained folder about my architect-designed house (that's by me) for my guests.
