General overview
Toronto is a very accessible city, with hundreds of KM's of cycle and multi-use trails, including protected cycle lanes on our downtown roadways. To help you get around we will share our 2 Trek 24 Speed urban bicycles.
Some will enjoy staying in our home for opportunities to experience an incredible choice of restaurants, entertainment and sports events.
Some may take the opportunity for walking everywhere in the heart of a large vibrant city.
We enjoy living here as we love this diverse cultural experience, immersed in one of the largest multi-cultural communities in the western hemisphere.
There is no better location for everything that such a large and beautiful city offers.
The space
Our 1 bedroom condo with a den is fully equipped. Our den has a 2nd queen bed (Murphy bed), which functions as my workstation by day, and a pull-down bed at night.
With 780 sq feet, our home is adequate for longer term stays for 2 people. We have a 24 hour concierge, FOB access to the building, elevators and a parking space included.
We have an easterly exposure, with a view of Rogers Centre, CN Tower and the water front including the Toronto Islands.
This is not your quiet rural space, and you can hide from that hustle and bustle that the big city will provide when needed.
To ensure you are able to relax after all that tourist activity, we have a high-end home theater setup, 65" OLED TV and lots of vinal albums or digital music if you need to kick back and just listen to tunes. Big city internet resides here, with 1.5 Gbps down, 1.5 Gbps up Fiber service ensures TV, Music and surfing works smoothly. Bluetooth, Chromecast, Apple Play all supported.
Guest access
Our building is ~40 stories and `15 years old, very well maintained and a desired property. The building security is controlled by our FOB, providing front door, parking garage, elevator access (elevator only works for our floor).
Notes
For any naturalists out there, Toronto is known for it's diversity. Hanlan's Point Beach is a short 30-min trip (walking and ferry) away. Another similar beach is located within Port Burwell Provincial Park. This park is located on Lake Erie, which is `1.5 hour drive west towards Niagara region.
Mirvish Theaters hosts all the top musicals and live theater productions. A little known fact is that hundreds can be saved by purchasing your tickets the morning of the show. These are referred to as 'rush' seats. So book your seats to sold out events same day while you are here.

Neighbourhood
Walking to King Street (Entertainment District) you'll be at the centre of the Toronto Film Festival events area (TFF is similar to Cannes Film Festival). In this area and everywhere in the immediate vicinity are many restaurants, bars, clubs and many live Mirvish Theaters hosting all of the largest theater productions. Opera, ballet can be located in the Sony Centre, and symphony and similar events at Roy Thompson Hall. All music genre's can be enjoyed at Toronto's historic Massey Hall, which has been recently renovated. At the risk of being repetitive, these all exist with in walking distance of home.
From our front door, cross the street (Bremner Ave). and you are entering the Rogers Centre which hosts the MLB Toronto Blue Jays and most of the very largest concerts hosted in Canada (stadium size tours). Often this dome is open (weather permitting).
Next to the Rogers Centre, The CN Tower and Ripley's Aquarium are available. A few minutes walk further along on Bremner Avenue, you will be at Scotia Bank Arena where the Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL hockey), and the Toronto Raptors (NBA basketball) teams play, and hundreds of shows and concerts happen throughout the year. Lastly, built directly attached to the Scotia Bank Arena is Toronto (and Ontario's) central transportation hub called 'Union Station'. You can go anywhere in the region from this location.
The Canadian National Exabition (CNE) grounds is where our fall fair is hosted. In this same location the Toronto F1 race occurs annually, the BMO Field can be found, which hosts the Toronto FC soccer club (football) and the Toronto Argonauts (CFL football). These are a 30-minute walk or a short 10-minute streetcar ride away. This immediate area is also where Ontario Place can be found, which hosts the Budweiser Amphitheatre, and hundreds of music concerts during the warmer months (May thru September)
For the shoppers, there are several large indoor malls in transit and driving distance. For the walkers, the Eaton's Center on Yonge and Dundas Streets is a 30-minute walk. Toronto downtown also has miles of underground pathways (The Path) which has many shopping and restaurants. This is a walking method highly used by commuters and those walking when the weather is less desirable. If you taste is more 'upscale shops' these can be found through downtown Toronto, but most well known is along Bloor Street West
Parks are everywhere in downtown Toronto. Almost every main street has protected cycling lanes, and we have a very long waterfront multi-use trails (~39 km long) and this can be reached 1 block away from our home.
This waterfront trail, you can catch a short ferry ride across the harbor to the Toronto Island beaches and picnic spaces, restaurants, beaches and many small parks. In addition there are many Toronto boat and bus tours available to sign up for. Rental bicycles and powered scooters have rental locations everywhere across the city. Harbourfront also hosts various multi-cultural events throughout the summer weekends.
Another notable mention goes to grocery food shopping. There are over 6 major grocery chains with in 30 minutes walk. Also, the iconic 'St. Lawrence Market is less than a 30-minute walk, and is the Distillery District.
The list of sights, activities, parks, shopping and social activities is far front just what I've highlighted. We know you'll exhaust yourself when you visit, its an experience you will want to repeat.
Getting to my home
We are minutes from Billy Bishop Airport, Toronto Union Station, linking us with local and provincial transportation.
It is a 30 minute 'UP Train' ride from Toronto International Airport. Catch the train (from Terminal, and the ride ends at Union Station. A 5-minute walk to our home along Bremner Blvd and you are here.
That same Union Station is a primary hub for local transit (subway, streetcars), Provincial transit (Go Buses) and Via Trains going across Ontario and Canada wide.
Nearest airport
Toronto Pearson International Airport is a 30 minute Uber or a 45 minute train ride.
Billy Bishop Airport is a 15 minute shuttle, or a 10 minute walk.
