Our stay at Pat's home was perfect! It was very comfy and cozy and so close to everything. Literally just minutes away from everything we wanted to see and do. The house had absolutely everything we needed for a great stay, including a comfy bad. Communication with Pat was great before, during, and after our stay. He was super quick to respond and accomidting to our schedule. This was a perfect exchange!

We are another local St. Augustine family. Our plans shifted while we had exchangers scheduled to stay at our home, and with a last-minute request, Pat let us stay at their home. It was so fun to hang out in a different area of our own town! The house was clean, communication was great, and we especially appreciated being able to have our dog stay with us. This house is a quick drive into the historic downtown and even closer to the trendy west king area (buena onda cafe is our favorite!). We needed to drive regularly to the beach for our kids’ activities and it was always only a 20minute or less drive even during high traffic times. So the home is very well located for easy access to all the St. Augustine highlights. Thanks again, Pat!

We stayed at Pats home in St Augustine for a week in June. It’s a rather warm time of year ,but the air conditioning works perfect! At the beach there is always a nice breeze. Our favorite is Anastasia State park . It’s about a 20 min easy drive , there is a lifeguards , restrooms and surfboard rentals. 🌞. Also miles of basically deserted beach area where we rode our bikes. This is a second home, so easy to arrange a non simultaneous exchange with Pat, his wife and sister In law who visited us previously. He is great about communicating and responding to questions, which I always appreciate! The home is very comfortable and convenient, clean and equipped with all the things that make an easy stay for a few days or weeks. I would welcome the opportunity to have future exchanges and they were perfect exchange guests while at our house.

I’m so grateful that Pat opened their home to me, my parents, and our two pups—we had a wonderful time in St. Augustine! My family, including my dad’s dog, joined me for a week during my three-week stay, and we enjoyed incredible meals in one of the coolest little towns in the U.S. The area is very dog-friendly, which was one of the main reasons I chose this destination. Pat’s home was perfectly located—just 10–20 minutes from all the main sights—and featured a spacious, open kitchen, dining, and living area where we could all relax and spend quality time together. The large fenced backyard was a huge bonus for the dogs, who loved having room to run and play. Pat was easy to communicate with throughout the entire exchange, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity to spend time in such a special place. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay in St. Augustine at Pat’s home! The home is clean and comfortable. It was really convenient to the beaches and downtown. We explored downtown, several state parks, two different springs, the pirate museum, forts, restaurants and more! There is an endless number of things to do and something for everyone! Pat was extremely communicative and had great suggestions. We’d definitely recommend staying at his house.

My family and I had such an amazing vacation at Pat’s house in historic St. Augustine, Florida, the oldest city in America! The house was welcoming and clean and had everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible (extra sheets and towels, washer/dryer, shampoo and body wash in the bathrooms, comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, free parking right in the front driveway). It rained one day we were there and we were pleasantly surprised to find umbrellas in the laundry room (along with beach towels, beach ball, etc). A major grocery store (Publix) is also nearby and we were able to grab some groceries our first night in. Location is great, in a quiet neighborhood and close to all the major sight-seeing and touristy things we wanted to do in St. Augustine. We even drove farther out North from Jacksonville airport to further South to Orlando to explore more of Florida and found it very easy to get around in our rental car from the house. We had such a wonderful trip and to top it off, communicating with Pat was such a great experience. He even mentioned specific beaches great for finding seashells (which my son loved!) and this was something not on my radar when doing research online and creating an itinerary, so we really appreciated the insider tip! We loved our stay and are forever grateful to have experienced this wonderful exchange with hosts Pat and Val.

My husband and I , with our dogs, stayed at Pats st Augustine home last night. We plan to go back in June for a longer visit to the area. We did a non simultaneous exchange as this is a 2nd home for them. It is a very new, modern home, equipped with all necessary kitchen appliances and cookware needed to cook any type of meal. This visit we ate at one of the many great seafood restaurants in St Augustine. The home was very clean , quiet, and the dogs enjoyed the safe backyard to run and play. The pictures are exactly as it looks in person. We appreciate being able to stay and look forward to a future exchange

Pat was a great host. We communicated early and often. He was very accommodating and prompt with replies. We spent almost 3 weeks in St. Augustine and the weather was perfect. I was able to work remotely for much of the time, so that was a bonus. It was great to be so close to the Historic District. Also was very convenient to golf courses, Jacksonville and the beaches. We explored all with gusto! The Nights of Lights festival was on it's last weekend when we arrived (end of January). What a treat to experience that! Thanks, Pat for a great stay! Lynn and Brian

We loved our stay at Pat's St. Augustine home. It was the perfect place to meet our daughter after her business trip in nearby Amelia Island. Happily, our small dog was welcome too, so it made for a great reunion. The house is new and spotless with all of the comforts of home. It is on a quiet block but less than 10 minutes from the shops, sights and restaurants that make St. Augustine an amazing place to visit. We were lucky to be in town for the famous Festival of Lights which made our weekend even more fun. I recommend Pat's house and St. Augustine highly, anytime of the year!

It was an absolute pleasure to meet Pat and his family (Mum and Dad). They all went out of their way; completely above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed, comfortable and at home. We spent time with Pat and his family exploring the local area. Their local knowledge was greatly appreciated, and we particularly loved sharing the sunrise with them at Vilano Beach on our first morning in St Augustine. Our welcome goodies were hugely appreciated as well as our trip to the aquarium where our 5-year-old son fed sharks. The house is beautiful, modern, spacious, well laid out, spotless clean and had everything we needed. The open plan kitchen, dining and living area was great for us to spend time as a family cooking or relaxing. It is perfectly situated for access to the town and beaches. Also, great road networks to other parts of Florida should you wish to explore. We had 2 weeks in St Augustine and had the most fabulous family holiday. We flew into Orlando and hired a car to drive to St Augustine. We found the drive from Orlando to St Augustine straightforward and the flight and journey from Manchester UK relatively easy (with our 3- and 5-year-old children). We visited in November and the weather was perfect for us (as not too hot). We had many beach days, explored the Kennedy Space Centre, we visited the Alligator Farm, the Pirate Museum, experienced the Trolley ride in St Augustine, we did jet ski rides, visited a spa and many BBQ/ smoked meat food establishments as well beach front eateries and some more upmarket restaurants in St Augustine. We cannot recommend Pat’s house enough. Should you get the opportunity to spend time here you will not be disappointed. Pat is the perfect PLU member and embodies what the community is all about. We had a lovely holiday at Pat's place. We spent just over a week there with my parents and the house was a great base for exploring St. Augustine. Pat was a fabulous host - always available for any questions we had and an excellent curated map of the top spots to visit and eat at in the area. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Pat directly but we did get to meet his lovely parents who made the journey to the house to pick up a few little gifts we had brought along and to assist with the final cleaning details as we opt to pay for a cleaner in order to leave the house perfect for the next guests. The description and the pictures give you a good feel for the property so there are no surprises. We cooked many meals in and the kitchen is well set up for you. All in all another fantastic exchange in the books for us.

Pat and Valerie are so friendly and welcoming to their gorgeous, new home. The kitchen and front room layout were ideal for our 4 adults making meals together in the evenings after the daily activities. And St Augustine is one of my favorite places to visit. History, beaches, downtown, golf, lots of museums, and just such a beautiful area. Loved it! I look forward to welcoming them to my home next! :)
