General overview
I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world! "If you know, you know....and now you know!"
Lake Tahoe is spectacular year round, and Incline Village in an exclusive neighborhood with access to private beaches (one is for boating, the other has a pool), both have food & beverage options. Access to the private beaches (for an extra fee).
In the summer, we hike, SUP, boat, swim. Play tennis & pickleball & disc golf. Impressive MTB bike park if that's your thing. This community is home to two 18-hole golf courses, Incline Village Championship Golf Course (par-72), and the The Mountain Course (par-58) is the highest elevation golf course in the State of Nevada and the Tahoe Basin!
In the winter, we ski! Downhill at Diamond Peak is my favorite! And we also have back country and Cross Country skiing.
Mt. Rose- 15 min
Heavenly & Northstar - 30 min
Palisades/ Alpine - 40 min
We have a free shuttle TART in the basin, but in the winter you'll probably want a AWD or 4x4 vehicle.
The space
Townhouse- This summer, I am exchanging the lower unit/ guest house. It's a one bedroom apartment with basic kitchenette. No oven, but plenty of ways to prepare food!
Guest access
A few steps from the parking lot. The unit is on the first level of a town house. The back door goes directly to the trail to Lake Tahoe, about a 7 minute walk.
Notes
You can say, "I summer in Incline!"
Lake Tahoe is a popular vacation spot known for its clear blue waters, scenic views, and world-class outdoor recreational activities such as skiing, hiking, boating, and fishing. It's also known for its luxury resorts and casinos.
In the summer, there is free music at the beach on Wednesdays and Fridays. It's such a fun scene, with access to food & the Tiki Bar, or bring your own wine and snacks with a blanket or beach chairs.
Additional activities in the area:
Diamond Peak: Local Ski Mountain, 5 minutes from the house.
Mt. Rose: "locals mountain," 15 minutes away, + other back country and XC skiing in the area
Truckee: Historic town with lots of shops and great restaurants!
If you google Lake Tahoe, these are the images that'll come up:
Emerald Bay State Park (CA) 30 min
Sand Harbor State Park (NV) 15 min (or ride your bicycle there on a paved bike trail on the East Shore Trail)
Tahoe City: Visit another beach on Lake Tahoe, cute downtown and great restaurants. Free music on Sundays in the summer.
Kings Beach: casual beach spot, free music on Fridays
Olympic Valley/ Palisades Tahoe: Home to the 1960's Olympics, amazing skiing (gondola links to Alpine Meadows Ski Resort)
Reno- The Biggest Little City (casinos, shopping, restaurants, walk the river front)
Virginia City- Historic mining town

Getting around
Walking is my favorite. TART is the free shuttle right outside of the complex to take you around the basin. Or rent a car if you'd like more flexibility on your adventure & more intricate hiking/ biking trails.

I'm an environmental consultant (focusing on waste minimization). I am also an adventure specialist, so I can make great recommendations for hikes and skiing.
My home is ideal for both summer (boating on Lake Tahoe) AND winter (skiing).
Who's traveling? Me + maybe my mom or maybe a sister or maybe a friend
