General overview

We live in the main house and our beautiful wood cabin (privately situated) is run as a highly rated Airbnb. It is available for exchange during our low season October-April for globe or non-sim exchanges. It may be available for globes for short-stays or last minute exchanges during the summer (subject to availability). As we are close by and used to being Superhosts, we love to give our guests recommendations to make the most of their stay on this special island. At the same time, there is ample space and privacy here. We are located on a peaceful large acreage. The cabin is surrounded by big trees and open meadows and is close to many natural attractions. We have adorable goats and alpacas on our small hobby farm. The location is centrally located close to town, many lakes and hiking trails with spectacular views or ocean beaches, all within a 10 minute drive. Paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, hiking, farm tours, vineyards and breweries, restaurants, farm stands and artist studio tours, markets are all popular activities that are close by. Salt Spring is a popular tourist destination because of its natural beauty and laidback, healthy lifestyle. Vancouver Island is a 20-35 minute ferry ride away.

The space

Charming self contained cabin has two bedrooms (primary room has a queen bed, bunk room has a double bed and two singles for a total of 4 beds), 1 bathroom with tub, laundry, full renovated kitchen , private deck. Our cabin is a beautiful mix of rustic charm and modern conveniences. It is curated to be your home away from home and is a clean and uncluttered space that has everything you may need for a relaxing vacation. We provide all natural body care products and the kitchen is well stocked with spices and cookware, etc.

Neighbourhood

We are on a large quiet acreage very close to Mount Maxwell Provincial Park, lakes, the ocean and town. You will need a car to get around the island.

Getting to my home

If arriving at YVR Vancouver airport, rent a car at the airport and take the ferry from Tsawwassen either directly to Salt Spring Island (Long Harbour) or via Swartz Bay near Victoria. If arriving from YYJ Victoria Airport, Swartz Bay is a 10 minute drive, and take the ferry to Fulford Harbour on Salt Spring. We are a 10 minute drive from the ferry.
