General overview
Our cottage is 800 years old. It is stone built, within a hamlet, immersed in green Valnerina, the green heart of Italy. The view is to die for, overlooking the mountains and valley. Peaceful and tranquill, as within the castel walls only pedestrians are allowed to circulate.
The space
75 sq meters altogether, cozy and super charming.
Downstairs: bathroom, kitchen with stone walls and a fireplace , lounge with hand-made table and beams.
Upstairs: mezzanine with work spot and large bedroom.
Everything is taken care to the details. Some pieces of furniture, the stairs, and the bathroom are custom made and a labour of love.
Guest access
Within the castle ground only pedestrians are allowed to access and circulate. The two big squares where it is allowed to park are about 200 meters from the cottage. This latter is accessible through a pavement made of cobblestone and stairs , so the place does not fit who has walking issues.

Neighbourhood
The castle ground is a medieval hamlet made of several stone cottages, arches and beams, all built in the 13th century. It is absolutely charming, like suspended in time. In winter there are about 300 people. In summer it is visited by hundreds of tourists and about 1500 people will spend the whole summer there. Always tranquill but rich in activities: rafting on Nera river at 1.5 miile from the village, spa and hot spring 15 minutes by car, and famous artistic and historical places are only 35 minutes away, where you can enjoy the black diamond (truffle) on hand made pasta, the famous Sagrantino wine, and many other local delicacies. The whole hamlet has views to die for on the green hills and mountains. It is situated in Valnerina, the green lung of Italy. The main church (13th century) displays precious frescos and paintings from Giotto school.
