4x4 climb/ski/bike van!! Solar-powered kitchen. Well lived-in long term. 3 seats, queen bed. When you message, let me know if you have experience driving and managing a camper. This has all the quirks of being lovingly handmade by two climbers in their 20s, so imagine moreso a rustic cabin experience and not a polished mobile home! NO shower, no toilet, and you'll have to empty out the grey water daily. But we comfortably traveled in it for a month with a toddler, so if you're like us, you'll have a great time.
The Space
Bike rack for 2 bikes, tons of space for sports gear (we stash 3 crash pads, climbing gear, inflatable SUP). Fully stocked kitchen: induction cooktop, tea kettle, sharp knives, cutlery, coffee making supplies, toaster oven (we’ve made pizza in it!), fridge AND freezer (ice cream!! frozen dumplings!). No shower or toilet—this van is for camping and sports! Dog-proof storage system. Diesel heater connected to fuel tank (no need to fill external tank).
Guest Access
you will get 1 key, and emergency key access. we can make arrangements for handoffs! I will sometimes drive to nearby cities (San Francisco, San Diego, Reno). But except that you'll have to get to either Mammoth or Berkeley.
Notes
I can lend you some sports stuff, like crash pads or SUP. Got a Starlink if you want to mess around with it. This van is a real sportsmobile, so it might not have retiree comforts or influencer charm, but we have done some real gnarly outdoor trips (ski trip, ice climbing, many months of climbing including Indian Creek and Yosemite valley, up and down the PNW several laps), so it’s probably most suitable for outdoorsy minimalists! We did the whole build so happy to help debug any issues.

I'm a long-time slow-travelling couchsurfer and host, excited to try this platform. I’ve done it all: planes, trains, hitchhiking, backpacking, living in a van while climbing and mountaineering. I’ve visited over 30 countries and lived in 3. We’ve lived in mountain villages (can handle big winters), cities, hobby farms. We’re handy around the house and can fix whatever comes our way. Excited to travel differently now with a family! We’ve had friends, community, and neighbors’ family stay while we’re gone for holidays travels so hosting is a process we're familiar with and love to do.
"Always exploring our home! Currently loving exploring places within 1 day's drive of California."

Big garage below the bed. Bed can be adjusted in height for more headroom, or more storage space. You can see the bike rack in the right door. You can hangboard too!
4x4 and low-range capable, with new all-terrain tires. Diesel heater that taps into the main tank. Ready for snow! Lived in a ski town for 4 winters.
