General overview

4x4 climb/ski/bike van!! Solar-powered kitchen. built out by the 2 of us with love and well-lived in long term. It’s the only home we own! Nowadays we sometimes rent a room, so the van is often free.

The space

Bike rack for 2 bikes, tons of space for sports gear (we stash 3 crash pads, climbing gear, inflatable SUP). Seats 2. Fully stocked kitchen: induction cooktop, tea kettle, sharp knives, cutlery, coffee making supplies, toaster oven (we’ve made pizza in it!), fridge AND freezer (ice cream!! frozen dumplings!). No shower or toilet—this van is for camping and sports! Dog-proof storage system. Diesel heater connected to fuel tank (no need to fill external tank). New all-season tires!

Guest access

you will get 1 key, and emergency key access. we can make arrangements for handoffs! I will sometimes drive to nearby cities (San Francisco, LA, Reno).

Notes

I can lend you some sports stuff, like crash pads or SUP. Got a rectangular Starlink if you want to mess around with it (I haven’t tested it recently!) This van is a real sportsmobile, so it might not have retiree comforts or influencer charm, but we have done some real gnarly outdoor trips (ski trip, ice climbing, many months of climbing including Indian Creek and Yosemite valley), so it’s probably most suitable for outdoorsy people! We did the whole build so happy to help debug any issues. Probably best for a longer stay because i’m guessing it’ll be a lot of work to meet up and handoff. this van only home we own! we really care for it, have many memories, and hope you will too.
