General overview

Enjoy the best of Fort Collins in this lush, stylish space! Whatever brings you to town, this centrally located home is fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay—from a stocked kitchen & spacious backyard to bikes available for use. Right in the heart of Old Town, everything is just a stone's throw by car, bike, or foot—15-min walk Downtown; 10-min walk to Poudre River Trail; 10-min bike to Odell & New Belgium Breweries; 15-min drive to Horsetooth Reservoir; 5-min drive to CSU.

The space

This house -- our primary home, when we're not traveling! -- reflects our love for natural light, living plants, and mementos from our travels. It's a historically designated art deco home with 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed, and the kitchen, living room, and dining room are all open spaces. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, and spices (we live here, after all!) The backyard has two tables, one glass one on a patio and one picnic table in the yard. It's fully fenced, and we keep a garden in the summer months. The driveway easily accommodates 2 cars and there is ample street parking as well.

Guest access

It is not an accessible home. You must climb a few stairs to enter the home, there are a few stairs throughout the main floor of the house, and one bedroom is down a flight of stairs.

Neighbourhood

Our art deco home is right in the heart of Old Town, Fort Collins—quiet and leafy, but only a stone's throw from Downtown, Horsetooth Reservoir, local breweries, the Poudre River Trail, and CSU. The house is within walking distance to a small grocery store and one of the best restaurants in town, little.

Getting to my home

Denver International Airport is the largest airport, though there is a Fort Collins Airport as well. While a car is always handy in town, if you're hoping to get out and explore the outdoors, our home is within walking distance to downtown, a small grocery store, and a bus stop. There are also ample rideshares and bikeshares available. We have two bikes available for use, but you must bring your own helmet.

Nearest airport

Denver International Airport - 90 minutes. Fort Collins Airport - 25 minutes.

Getting around

The driveway accommodates two vehicles for free off-street parking, and there is plenty of street parking as well. We have two bikes available for use (must bring your own helmets), and there are often Spin rental scooters/bikes around the neighborhood that you can reserve. There is a bus stop a block away from the house as well. The house is within walking distance to a grocery store and downtown Fort Collins.

Katie

I’ve worked at the intersection of storytelling, community, and advocacy for my entire career—from book publishing and literary non-profits to mission-driven startups. I'm a born-and-bred Coloradan but my heart’s in New York City, where I lived for 12 years, and pieces of my soul are scattered around Taos, Charlottesville, and Lima. In the hours outside 9-5, you can find me book-in-hand or eye-to-viewfinder. We're renting our primary home in Old Town Fort Collins to offset travel, so negotiate with me!
