WHAT TO DO If you are a specialty coffee lover, we have some awesome Third Wave cafes to direct you to. We provide a Google map with all the best places to get coffee and work on a laptop. We also provide a Google Maps list of all our favorite places in Haarlem, including Escape Rooms, an arcade, museums, some fabulous restaurants, and more. There are some awesome foodie tours you can do in Haarlem with great restaurants and microbreweries. No doubt you’ll want to go out to eat in Amsterdam, Leiden, Utrecht, and The Hague too! It’s also very pleasant to walk along the canals or in a city park. We provide a Google Map with lists of several good hiking places just 10 minutes from the center. Elswout is one of our favorites. With the trains in Holland, all is at your fingertips. We provide a list of all the towns that you might enjoy. The Netherlands has some incredibly diverse ecosystems, like sandy dunes with pine trees, surfing and kite-boarding, wild horses, and the wine country of Limburg. Not to mention the myriad lovely walkable cities. Optional extras for your stay - We get AMAZING organic produce delivered on Fridays. It’s so fresh and cheaper than the stores! We also have an awesome house cleaner who comes once a week and is very affordable.

We are a family of 4 living in Haarlem, Netherlands. Our house is in the center of Haarlem, just outside the historic part. We don’t own a car - our neighborhood is extremely walkable and bike friendly. The playground and grocery store are right around the corner. We love going to cafes and to the beach. We are only 20 minutes from Amsterdam so you can spend your time in our quiet, kid-friendly neighborhood, or pop out to Amsterdam to go to museums etc. ABOUT US - Kali (mom) teaches classes online - Chris (dad) works from home as a software architect for AWS with Amazon - Quinlyn (age 11) loves gymnastics, dance, cooking
