Neighbourhood

Our home is located in Hamilton Park, one of the most desirable neighborhoods of Jersey City, New Jersey. It is a charming and peaceful neighborhood with Victorian-era brownstones and row homes, set amidst leafy trees. Lovely parks and playgrounds are within blocks of our home, as are delicious restaurants and shopping. Other walkable attractions in Jersey City from our home include the Newport Mall (great for shoppers), Restaurant Row on Newark Ave, the Liberty Science Center (great for all ages), and Liberty State Park - a huge expanse along the waterfront with incredible views of NYC, the harbor, and the statue of liberty. You can also rent a Citi-bike at any nearby kiosk and bike to and through the Park. But don't get too caught up in all that our neighborhood has to offer, as NYC is minutes away. :) I commute via the PATH subway train every day. Our home is a 15-minute walk to either the Newport or Grove St. stop, and then you will be in Manhattan in 2 stops (about 6 minutes). You can also take the bus to midtown-Manhattan (near Times Square). The bus stop is 2 blocks from our house and takes approximately 25 minutes. And of course, there's always Uber/Lyft if you prefer. So go enjoy the City (the museums! the art! the parks! Broadway!), and then come home to a restful oasis to plan your next day's adventure.

Nearest airport

Newark Airport is 10 minutes away.

Getting around

There is so much in walking distance! (Restaurants, bars, parks, shop, etc.) To get to NYC, you can take the PATH subway. Our closest stops are Grove Street and Newport, which are each a 15 min. walk from our house. Then it's just 2 quick stops to Manhattan. You can also take the bus to Manhattan if you prefer. The bus stop is 2 blocks away from our house, and the bus takes about 30 minutes to get to midtown Manhattan (near Times Square).
