Neighbourhood
The house is located not far from the village (10 minutes on foot or 2 minutes by car, amenities: bakery, grocery store, bar restaurant)
You can take a 10-minute walk along a path directly to the belvedere (649 m above sea level): it is a Romanesque chapel offering a 360° panoramic view of 13 departments in the region! A tennis court is freely accessible to the village (not very busy), as well as an outdoor basketball court and football pitch. Outdoor play area for children and small sports course.
numerous mountain bike (MTB) circuits near the house.
By car you can reach many interesting places:
Places to discover in Ardèche (beautiful villages, hikes, nature, rivers, viewpoints)
The Roman Bridge and its river for swimming (15 min)
Crussol Castle (15 min)
The Château de Tournon and its pretty town on the banks of the Rhône (20ln)
The Valrhona chocolate factory (20 mins)
The numerous wine cellars of Saint Peray, Cornas, Tournon and Tain L’Hermitage (20 mins)
The city of Valencia (25 min)
The Ardèche natural park (30 mins)
Mont Mézenc (1 hour)
The Vercors (2H)
The villages of Drôme (50 mins)
Lyon (1h30)
Regarding water points, if there is no drought, there is water in a river 20 minutes by car from us. There are rocks and children can play. In the middle of summer I can't guarantee there will be a lot of water, it depends on the drought.
There is another river a little further away that we didn't try, but were told there was always water in the summer (30 minutes by car). Then, there are two lakes, one in Vernoux (30 minutes by car) and one in Saint-Donat (50 minutes by car) with very nice slides and a restaurant to eat. Finally, there is a municipal swimming pool in Saint-Peray (15 minutes by car), another very pretty one in Tain-L'hermitage (25 minutes) and several in Valence (30 minutes).
Nearest airport
Saint-Exupéry Airport in Lyon 110km away
Getting around
We are 20 minutes from Tournon and 25 minutes from Valence.
Market every Wednesday in St Peray, many shops (12 minutes by car)
Commercial activity area in Guilherand-Granges (around 15-20 minutes): organic supermarket, hypermarket
A car would be necessary to leave the village

We are a family of 3 people: Patrik, Faustine and Eloïse (8 years old). We are independent graphic designers and work from home. We love contact with nature, meeting people and discovering new countries. We are very respectful of the homes where we have the pleasure of being welcomed. Our house is located very close to the woods, with many centers of interest around. It consists of 3 bedrooms and a large living room and can accommodate up to 5 people. We like to share good addresses and places to discover near us.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
