General overview

Our apartment is of an old restored type, on the 1st floor of a 3-storey building, 70 m2, with balcony and accessible shared garden. We are staying in the North of Berlin (Reininckendorf), near Tegel.

The space

The apartment is quiet and close to forests and a very pleasant and relaxing lake (Tegel See). We have 2 bedrooms, one with a balcony and the other on the garden side; There is old parquet in all the rooms and the apartment is very bright.

Guest access

On the 1st floor without elevator. We travel most of the time by bicycle, there are many cycle paths. Our neighborhood is safe and quiet. parking is free throughout the neighborhood.

Notes

Shops in front of our apartment: pharmacy, bakery/pastry shop, bank, bars and restaurants (Italian, Indian, Macedonian, Mexican, kebab). The first supermarket is 5 minutes walk away, a large mall 15 minutes walk away.

Bus stop at the bottom of the building to get to the city center (Friedrichstr, Zooligischer Garten) in 35 minutes and to get to the mall. The station for the S-Bahn is TEGEL. The stations for the U-Bahn are U6 BORSIGWERKE and U8 RATHAUS REININCKENDORF.

BER airport is 60 minutes by public transport or 30-40 minutes by car.

Getting around

You can go shopping: -on foot (we lend you our wheeled trolley), -by bike (we lend you our 2 bikes, helmets and padlocks), -by bus (stop at the bottom of the building)

Feedback

  • We had a lovely stay at Alex and Jo's cozy apartment in North Berlin. It's a bit far from the center/main touristy areas, but public transportation in Berlin is excellent. This was we were able to see how the locals live in Berlin. It was within walking distance to Tegler See (a large lake in N. Berlin), which ended up being one of our favorite things to do. Communication was great and we look forward to hosting Alex and Jo in December.
