Stay in the calmness of a suburban dog-friendly neighborhood while enjoying quick access to all that San Diego has to offer!
Nestled in the Rancho Bernardo neighborhood, our two bedroom, two bathroom house is at the end of a cul-de-sac with a spacious backyard. Our house has a full kitchen, three TVs (living room, master bedroom, and second bedroom), minimalist decor, and high-speed WiFi throughout the house. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and visit family-friendly area attractions like the San Diego Zoo and Torrey Pines State Beach (see below for drive times to these locations).

The space
Our home is a single-story detached home with a spacious, private, fully-fenced backyard perfect for pups!
The master bedroom has a king bed and an en-suite bathroom with a detachable showerhead for easy rinsing or bathing your pup. Mounted TV with remote available for your TV binging needs. Sliding door with direct access to the backyard.
The second bedroom is used as an office and "den", with heavily-stocked home gym in the sunroom. The office has a standup desk you can use for work or study, and the attached den area has a full L-couch and queen size sofa that has a pull-out bed in case there are more than two guests. Please let us know if you would like us to set up the pull-out queen bed, including a foam mattress pad, prior to your arrival. There is a large TV in the den. The sunroom is attached to the den by a sliding door and has a home gym, including a squat rack, barbell, plates, Bowflex adjustable dumbbells, and more.
We do our best to use fragrance-free cleaning supplies as we are both sensitive. If you're also sensitive, we can be mindful of that as we prepare our home for your stay!
Third bedroom is not available due to storing our junk out of your way while we're gone! :)
OUTDOOR LIVING: Fully-fenced private yard, patio, dining table and chairs, lounge seating, market lights, BBQ gas grill, ping pong table, hammock (no need to water or garden as we have irrigation and a gardener)
INDOOR LIVING: Google Nest Thermostat, 3 TVs, dining table, piano in dining area, natural light, recessed lighting throughout entire house
KITCHEN: Dishwasher, gas stove/oven, French press, kettle, cooking utensils, KitchenAid mixer, Instant Pot, air fryer, sous-vide, pots & pans, blender, microwave, spices, dishware & flatware
GENERAL: High-speed WiFi, Google Nest Thermostat, whole house fan, central A/C & heat, toiletries, towels/linens, hair dryer
ACCESSIBILITY: 1 step to enter
PARKING: Garage (1 vehicle, our other car will be parked here as well) with a Tesla charger. Driveway will accommodate four vehicles.
Guest access
One half-step leads into the home from the front door or garage, so not fully accessible for wheelchair users. Otherwise, once inside the home, the house is fully level but hallways and doorways might be too narrow for wheelchair users. House is mostly tile except for "den" area of second bedroom, which has carpet.
Notes
Dog Friendly:
As we have two dogs ourselves, we welcome guests with dogs! We allow up to two dogs (no breed restrictions - pitties welcome!) and ask that they are well-mannered and are not left outside unattended. If you leave the house, we ask that you ensure your dog(s) are left inside, calm, not destructive, and do not bark uncontrollably. If you need us to provide crates for them to make them feel safe and comfortable, we'd be happy to do so. Our neighbors also have dogs and we all get along well with one another, so please let us know if your dogs will have any challenges with our request.
Not Baby-Proof:
Since we don't have kids, our home is not designated as baby-proof. We do not have toys or board games to offer. That being said, if you want to stay at our house with your kids, please feel free to let us know! We can ask our neighborhood Buy Nothing group for any items you might need!

Neighbourhood
Our residential community of Westwood is located on the west side of I-15 and runs north from Rancho Bernardo Road towards Lake Hodges. We live at the end of a cul-de-sac where all neighbors know each other and help one another out. We are in constant communication with our neighbors and alert them of any news, so we would be sure to let them know that you're staying in our home!
We try to keep noise levels at a respectful level (definitely no parties) and keep our dogs inside unless supervised outside. We ask the same of those who stay in our home!
Getting to my home
By Car:
Once on the I-15 freeway, exit Rancho Bernardo Road and head west. House is 3 minutes off the freeway.
By Air:
Fly into San Diego International Airport. Then, you can either rideshare or rent a car to drive northeast. The drive from the airport is approximately 30 minutes.
Nearest airport
San Diego International Airport is the closest airport, which is a 30 minute drive from our house, or approximately $40-$60 rideshare depending on time of day.
Getting around
We strongly recommend having your own car, as public transportation in San Diego is not fully built out. We also have a Tesla charger in the garage if you have one!
