Neighbourhood

If you can pull yourself away from my lakeside deck, nearby Niagara-on-the Lake is a wonderful spot to picnic, browse in the up-market shops, dine in world class restaurants, enjoy some spa time, or take in some theatre at the renowned Shaw Featival Theatre. Niagara Falls is only 15 minutes away, and home to casinos, restaurants, and many tourist attractions. Toronto is just over an hour away by car or train. The Niagara region is gaining international renown as a viticulture and culinary destination. Grand sophisticated wineries or small family estates welcome visitors for tours, tastings, and special concerts and theatre events. The variety of destinations along the culinary trail will put a smile on any foodie’s face. Whatever the season, Niagara offers lots of opportunity for walking, cycling, and hiking. Niagara has over 40 beautifully landscaped and challenging course for golfers of all levels. But do not discount a visit in wintertime. It can be great fun and undeniably beautiful. You can drive to a great ski resort in 1.5 hours or visit the wineries for a taste of our famous Canadian icewine. And Niagara Falls turns into a fairyland when the mist freezes on the trees. The US border is close-by, giving access to further vacation opportunities, perhaps New York City or Boston, an easy flight from Buffalo airport.

Nearest airport

I hour from Toronto or Hamilton airports.

Getting around

A car would be best option for transportation as public transit is minimal and inconvenient.
