Neighbourhood
Great Diamond Island in Casco Bay off of Portland, is one of the most beautiful islands in Maine. The house comes with access to a community swimming pool, playground, tennis courts basketball courts, beaches and beautiful walking paths. It is a car-free island that you can access via a 40 minute ferry from downtown Portland, home of world-class restaurants, bars and shopping. There are also a few great restaurants on the island and 2 small general stores. You can do larger grocery shops in town or get grocery delivery to the island with a little planning ahead!
Nearest airport
PWM airport is about 20 minutes away from the ferry terminal
Getting Around
There are 3 restaurants on the island, including our favorite, the Crown Jewel, and 2 small general stores for basics. You can do a larger grocery shop before you come to the island or get delivery via Whole Foods/Amazon or Instacart with a little planning.
