General Overview
Our lovely character home is set on two rural acres within view of the sea & surrounding mountains - A spectacular location offering absolute privacy and calm along with the opportunity to enjoy a country lifestyle filled with sunshine, birdsong, paddocks and farm animals such as goats and sheep.
It's just a short drive from here to the lovely seaside town of Mapua which offers a range of great restaurants, bars and cafes. It's only 20mins. drive to Nelson and just under 40mins. drive to the Abel Tasman National Park. There are 3 National Parks in the area, amazing beaches, and Rainbow ski resort is 1h30mn away.
The home provides open-plan living, kitchen and dining with two outdoor entertaining areas - One of which is semi-covered and has an outdoor firepit with a supply of logs.
With these views, incredible tranquility and beautiful surroundings, fantastic entertaining spaces, high speed unlimited WiFi, Smart TV & many other home amenities, our home is a wonderful place for a countryside getaway!
The Space
The house has 3 bedrooms: master bedroom with king size bed and ensuite bathroom, 2nd bedroom with a queen size bed and 3rd bedroom with a queen size bed. There is an open plan kitchen, dining room and living room and a family bathroom with bath tub and shower. There is a seperate self contained sleepout which has a kitchenette, a queen size bed and seperate bathroom/ toilet and TV.
We also have an outdoor firepit and a trampoline. We have two entertaining decks outside and 2 covered outdoor areas. We have views of the sea and the mountain range. We have 2 goats and 2 sheep in the paddock below who are very friendly. There are also 2 cats on the property.
There are lots of fruit trees as well as a veggie garden to which you are welcome to help yourselves.
The house is 2 km from the sea and 5mn from the seaside town of Mapua which has lots of restaurants and cafes as well as a supermarket. The Abel Tasman national park and its great walks is 40mn away and the stunning Kaiteriteri beach is 30mn away. Nelson is 30 mn away.
Guest Access
The house is all on one level however unsuitable for wheelchairs as there are 2 steps to get in to the house.
Notes
There are 2 cats on the property in case you have allergies. You wouldn't have to feed them unless you are happy to :)
Self contained unit is on property and we may move into it whilst you stay in the main house depending on our arrangement if non simultaneous exchange. However we may stay somewhere else depending on the situation at the time.

We absolutely loved our stay at Aurelies gorgeous homely home.. The instructions and suggestions we got for the home and area were great and so helpful. We loved being in charge of the cats, goats and sheep, it made our stay extra special for us and our Hawaiian friends. Thank you Aurelie and Nick for sharing your home with us. -
Aurelie, Nick, and their boys were incredibly kind and generous hosts. They went out of their way to help us when we had a car issue, and we’re so grateful. They also let our guests use their sleepout, which made things really convenient. Their home is modern, updated, and super comfortable—cozy in all the right ways. We also really enjoyed sharing a dinner with them; they’re such warm and easygoing people. And of course, the cats, goats, and sheep were a fun bonus! A great stay with a great family. -
Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans la magnifique maison d Aurélie et Nick. La maison est très bien située sur un très beau terrain arboré et avec une belle vue sur la vallée. Ils nous ont très bien accueillis, nous ont.conseilles sur de très belles sorties et randonnées à faire. Ils nous ont invités à une soirée barbecue. Aurélie et sa famille seront toujours les bienvenus chez nous dans le sud de la France.
