General overview
Having a double waterfront and bush on one side it feels almost like you are on a private island. Waterviews throughout and close to nature with a myriad of magnificent birdlife! The location is very convenient with the airport just a 15 minute drive away, Maroochydore city also just 15 minutes drive and local shops and restaurants closer again. Although close the flight paths do not go over our property, so very peaceful. The home was built with an emphasis on quality throughout and we have added canal access stairs and a deck to further enhance the location. Kayak and canoe are also available.
The space
Our home is a large 3-5 bedroom with multiple lounge or study areas depending on the use required. 2 very large bathrooms both with tubs the main being a spa bath. A separate 'Powder' room. Laundry and Kitchen with marble work tops. All sits on a 1000 square metre block with over 65 metres of waterfront. Double garage and extra parking area suitable for a caravan. Deck and small boat storage area.
Guest access
All on ground floor with just 2 steps up to front door or one from garage. Completely flat access to back yard. Large canal access stairs with deep treads super easy for getting in and out of kayaks or canoe.
Notes
The pool also has a spa feature. However it can only be operated from the pool shed. At this stage we would prefer that it isn't used. There is a great spa bath in main bathroom though!

Neighbourhood
The friendliest people in our neighborhood will always say Gooday and stop for a chat or help you out. Fantastic walking and bike paths with the beach just 15 mins away by bike. Pristine beaches of Coolum and Sunshine just a 15 minute drive North with beautiful Noosa just 30 mins drive. Parking is difficult there though so we tend to take the bus. Maroochydore and Mooloolaba are both vibrant coastal centres and easily accessible by car. Uber is available here.
Getting to my home
Arriving by plane our home is a short 15 minutes Taxi/Uber ride away from Sunshine Coast airport. If arriving into Brisbane it is an hours drive and there is a shuttlebus available. A bus service runs between Maroochydore and Noosa every 20 minutes and the stop is a 10 minute walk away.

Getting around
Closest shops are 15-20 mins walk or 5-10mins by car. Both local shopping centres have an array of different eateries most of which will deliver. We do recommend the Taj Palace Indian restaurant. A 15 minute drive will get you to Maroochydore where you will find an amazing shopping centre, Sunshine Plaza. A spectacular Plaza built over the Maroochy river and complete with kid's boats for hire, cinemas, restaurants and even Australia's largest high ropes course complete with flying fox for the more adventurous!

There are three of us in total when we include our little dog 'Maggie'. Maggie may not always be able to travel with us, particularly overseas however we can always have her dog sat with our son's family who live nearby. We are both just retired and like many people now have the time to travel and explore different experiences. We have previously been with an organisation called Trusted House Sitters so are not unfamiliar with the concept of home stays and thoroughly enjoyed the experience whilst on a 'Gap' year in 2014/15.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
