General overview
Our home is located in Boulder, CO and is right near a reservoir for boating and paddling, openspace for jogging and biking trails. We are 5 minutes from a grocery store that offers organic produce, and local breweries and a one minute walk from Celestial Seasonings which offers a wonderful tour of their tea shop and facilities.
The space
We have a new modern custom-designed outdoor kitchen with gas grill and stove top for all your outdoor cooking needs and an entertainment patio space with an outdoor couch and seating area. This includes a custom designed concrete poured gas fire pit to hangout and relax in front of after a day of hiking in the Rocky Mountains and shopping at boutique stores at downtown Pearl Street’s outdoor pedestrian mall. Downtown Boulder offers the farmer’s market twice weekly, music, world class restaurants and breweries. Sore from all your adventures? Jump in our brand new 6 person chemical-free hot tub and soak while gazing at the Rocky Mountain stars and the fire.
Bring your whole family or retreat as a couple. We have one master bedroom with a queen bed, one guest room with a queen, one twin kid’s room and an office space with a comfortable pullout cushion style couch bed. You can comfortably fit 6-7 people in this home with no shared walls with the master bedroom and other bedrooms. We have WiFi a large screen TV, surround sound, and gas fireplace in the family room for getting cozy on a cool night. Our house is outfitted with Sonos speakers through out for enjoying music or asking Alexa about the weather. HBO GO, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Netflix connected through Roku to our TV.
We have three high quality inflatable SUP boards and all the equipment needed for a day on the water at the Boulder reservoir, about 5 minutes from our home. Other boating rentals are available on location. We also have two adult bikes, and one Burely pet carrier for biking available to ride on the bike trails which are 5 minutes walking from our home. These trails can take you into open space or you can take a 20 minute bike ride on bike trails to the quaint town of Niwot, and explore antique stores, grab lunch, and learn about the lore of Chief Niwot.
We have three cars, which you can borrow. One Toyota Prius, one VW Passat, and one Ford Truck (perfect for 4 wheel drive access mountain roads when you are exploring).
Guest access
Two floors and two flights of carpeted stairs to access the bedrooms. Master is down the hall from other bedrooms and doesn’t share a wall. We do have a rental in our basement apartment with a shared entrance, but the house is very private.
Notes
Boulder has amazing outdoor spaces to explore. Come for Memorial Day and catch the Boulder Boulder race through downtown and the Boulder Creek Festival. Visit Chautauqua park for magestic hikes near the flatirons and world class music in the auditorium. Hit the walking mall on Pearl Street for shopping, drinks and food. Go paddle boarding and Boulder Reservoir (5 minutes away) or bike to the quaint nearby town of Niwot on bike trails from the house. Take 5 minute walk to Celestial Seasonings Tea Shop and tasting room and take the tea tour. Take a 10 minute walk to Avery’s Brewery and tasting room and stop by several other local breweries in the neighborhood.

Getting around
There is a grocery store and restaurants 7 minutes driving and 9 minutes bike ride. Guests can have access to bikes and vehicles. We are 14 minutes from downtown Boulder driving or you can easily walk to the bus stop and take it downtown. This usually takes about 40 minutes when all is said and done with walk time included, but it is one easy bus ride without the need to transfer. I ride my bike to work downtown and it takes me about 30-40 minutes to get there on mostly bike paths near a local creek. I’m happy to share the route!
