Neighbourhood
Our neighborhood is quiet, which is what you need after a busy day in Amsterdam or Haarlem. On a walking/biking distance is the beautiful park of Haarlemermeer's bos where on sunny days you can paddle board or swim in the lake. Moreover, you can cycle through the tulip and other flower fields in the area (will provide more info on this on request) from mid-March until the end of May.
From Hoofddorp you can either bike (around 20-30min) or take the bus (15min) to Haarlem - my favorite city in the Netherlands. It's like Amsterdam but without the crowds. Also the beach (Zaandvoord aan Zee) is only 15min by car away (but when it's super sunny it might take more to get there due to the crowds).
