General overview
My flat is in the beach side neighborhood of "La Vila Olímpica" in Barcelona. IF BARCELONA IS A CONSIDERATION, YOU WILL LOVE MY PLACE AND LOCATION, PROMISE.
Walk to Barcelona's wonderful Gothic Quarter through Citadella park only 15 minutes walk. If you look carefully at the aerial photo, I have marked my apartment complex with a red rectangle so you can see just how well-positioned it is. Those two tall towers? The 5 star Hotel Arts and the "Torre Mapfre". Those are Barcelona landmarks! And the scenic photo collage are photos from around the "Moll de Gregal" (Gregal pier), the beach / marina and Barcelona's casiso are just 2 streets away).
There are about 5 supermarkets (Consum, Condis, Lidl, Sorli Diu, Mercadona), 3 gyms but if you love outdoor sports, the location is perfect. You of course have all the water sports at your doorstep, miles of beach promenade for walks, runs or roller blading and more.
More restaurants and cafes than you can count and then you can walk into the Born or Gotico on one end and Poblenou or Glories on the other.
You are close to all manner of public transport (Metro L4 - Bogatell, or L1 Marina. Buses 59, 136, H16, N0, H16, V21, V27, TRAM T4 Vila Olímpica, Bicing ie Barcelona's public collect and drop off bicycle system...).
As you can see, PERFECT location.

The space
It is still my home so please treat it as such (as I will yours).

It is a couple years old and it was fully painted in Jan 2023.

I have just returned to Australia after 20 years in Barcelona (my mother lives in Melbourne). Instead of renting my home in Barcelona, I thought I'd try the exchange route to discover Melbourne.
I'm specifically looking for a long-term (3 months or more) simultaneous home exchange in Melbourne in exchange for my lovely beach side apartment in Barcelona (Villa Olimpica) ideally from May 2023. Tall order I know, but worth a try.
SHORT-TERM RENTAL: If I don't find a simultaneous exchange, and you know of anybody in Melbourne willing to rent their home (or granny flat) to a responsible home owner for a reduced fee, for about 6 months, please let me know too!
