Home has an open layout with a large master suite. Great location is central to all that North Carolina and the Eastern US has to offer. We are a three hour drive to the ocean and NC's outer banks islands and a two hour drive to the Appalachian mountains

-North Carolina Zoo, the worlds largest natural habitat zoo
-Many local parks and trails and extensive bicycle greenway system
-City Lake Park one mile away has carousel, train ride, mini golf, boat rentals, fishing and more
-Brand New High Point Childrens Museum
Greensboro Science Center ( museum, aquarium and zoo all in one: must see)
-Numerous local Micro Breweries and Wineries
-High Point is "Furniture Capitol of the World" featuring worlds largest chest-of-drawers
-Kersey Valley Farm attractions (zip-line, corn maze, ax-throwing, escape rooms, laser tag, bowling, sunflower festival)
-Hanging Rock State Park— the waterfalls
-Chimney Rock is only a couple hours away
-Pilot Mountain State Park has great hiking and beautiful view! They have things for beginners and experienced hikers and only about 45min from us
-Historic Guilford Mill still working and making fresh stone ground flour

Shopping:
-There’s boutiques (higher end) just a few minutes away: Flares, the Soap Lady Store, Southern Junk, Guilford + Main that will all have nice new upscale items.
Then there’s the Palladium which is a Shopping Center (12min away) with a TON of restaurants, Hang Ups boutiques and a good size movie theater.
I personally love driving 20min to the Friendly center where there’s REI, macys, belk, Victoria’s Secret, Arie, Hallmark, Altar’d State, Apple Store, Anthropologie, Athleta, Bath & Body Works, Birkenstock, Brooks Brothers, Build-a-Bear, DSW (best shoe store everrrr!) on and on. You could spend a day shopping here just about for anyone for anything.
Another favorite of many is TJMaxx, Ross, and Marshalls. These are great quality finds for less than retail. They are like overstock stores.
Museums, Culture, History:
Mendenhall Homeplace 5min away(Sean puts on a great tour, we did this with our homeschool coop and he tailors his presentation to what you’re interested in) for local Jamestown history
High Point Museum (not the children’s one) is about 12min away. We like to go when the Scottish bagpipe guys are playing!
International Civil Rights Museum 18min away.
