Great location - in an estate, with a few minutes drive to beaches. Along our street, there's a path that takes you to Bateau Bay Sporting Fields for football/soccer/AFL/baseball/children's playground/basketball. There are local cafes, restaurants, take aways and a pub all within walking distance. A few minutes away is Bateau Bay Ten Pin Bowling which has a Golf Driving Range next door. Then further along is Bato Yard skate park with a walkway/underpass to Bateau Bay Square Shopping Centre (Aldi, Kmart etc) Within a 10 minute drive from our house (see www.icentralcoast.com): - Beaches - National Park - Coast to Lake Walk - Children's playgrounds, skate parks and playing fields - Lake and beach fishing - 20 km bike trail around Tuggerah Lakes - Golf courses close by at Tuggerah Lakes (which fronts along Shelly Beach), Magenta Shores and Terrigal Erina Fair is just a 15 minute drive and has everything you could want: food, fashion, movies, ice skating. So many great places to bush walk locally on the Central Coast. Lots of markets on weekends and plenty of activities including Australian Reptile Park with kangaroos, koalas, crocodile, snakes etc, Tree tops Adventure Park, Clip and Climb and Flip Out. We also have a number of quaint local markets-Farmers Markets selling local produce and crafts. For Scuba Divers, the HMAS Adelaide an Australian War Ship sunk off Terrigal Haven, to create an artificial reef. The Hunter Valley is an hour north, our famous wine region, worth a look.

Near our house is a regular bus service, and the train from Gosford or Tuggerah stations to Sydney or Newcastle is 15-20 minutes away.

Member description
Rather than list the many places we want to go to, if Australia interests you, please let us know. If you've covered Sydney, ticking off the Opera House, Harbour Bridge etc, come an hour north to the beautiful Central Coast where you can do as much, or little, as you like.
