Neighbourhood

Great location - behind the Killarney Vale shops and with a few minutes drive to beaches and lake. There is a Coles Supermarket, bakery/cafe, take aways, bottle shop and petrol station, all within walking distance. A few minutes away is Bateau Bay Ten Pin Bowling which has a Golf Driving Range next door. Then further along is Bato Yard skate park with a walkway/underpass to Bateau Bay Square Shopping Centre (Aldi, Kmart etc) Within a 10 minute drive from our house (see www.icentralcoast.com): - Beaches - National Park - Coast to Lake Walk - Children's playgrounds, skate parks and playing fields - Lake and beach fishing - 20 km bike trail around Tuggerah Lakes - Golf courses close by are Shelly Beach, Magenta Shores and Terrigal Westfield Tuggerah and Erina Fair is about a 15 minute drive and has everything you could want: food, fashion, movies, ice skating. So many great places to bush walk locally on the Central Coast. Lots of markets on weekends and plenty of activities including Australian Reptile Park with kangaroos, koalas, crocodile, snakes etc, Tree tops Adventure Park, Clip and Climb and Flip Out. We also have a number of quaint local markets-Farmers Markets selling local produce and crafts. For Scuba Divers, the HMAS Adelaide an Australian War Ship sunk off Terrigal Haven, to create an artificial reef. The Hunter Valley is an hour north, our famous wine region, worth a look.

From Sydney airport take the train to Gosford or Tuggerah. If I’m around, I can pick you up from the station.

Getting around

At the end of the street at the Killarney Vale shops, runs a regular bus service. The train from Tuggerah or Gosford stations to Sydney or Newcastle is 15-20 minute drive away.

Feedback

  • For anyone lucky enough to exchange with Donna and Matt, you're in for a treat. Their home is a delightful single-level 4 bedroom home with two separate living areas. It's furnished really tastefully, completely uncluttered, and really comfortable. I need to make special mention of how clean their windows were! 😃 This was the coldest weekend of the year and yet the place was beautifully warm and we loved sitting out by the pool in the sun of a morning with a coffee. They were nice enough to allow us to bring Xena, our mini-schnauzer, and she loved it, particularly their Pug's kennel. Donna even left a treat for Xena! The home is in a new estate on NSW's Central Coast, about 50km from Sydney, an hour's drive. It's right next to an AFL park and walking distance from the Bateau Bay Hotel (I recommend the steaks!). We visited a waterfront cafe at The Entrance for breakfast on Saturday and then had toast and coffee at the local surf club on Sunday. The walk along the coast is just spectacular. Donna & Matt are wonderful, really thoughtful hosts. I highly recommend their home!

Just an hour north of Sydney is the beautiful Central Coast. My coastal cottage will undergo a major renovation mid 2022. Therefore, I currently only have location photos to entice you!
