My single-level home has a welcoming atmosphere and a light-filled outlook.
There are two bedrooms with queen size beds with a bathroom attached to both and the third bedroom is set up up with a cot only.
I live on my own, and although I don't really love cooking that much, the new kitchen has everything you should need.
Renovations were completed at the end of 2022 but there's fencing, gardening etc still to be done.
PLEASE NOTE: I have built a smaller second dwelling on the block for my newly wed daughter and husband to live in and they have a dog...Pumbaa the Pug. I will fence the backyard off when you are here, if you don’t want him to visit.

Great location - behind the Killarney Vale shops and with a few minutes drive to beaches and lake. There is a Coles Supermarket, bakery, cafes, take aways, pharmacy, bottle shop and petrol station, all within walking distance.
A few minutes away is Bateau Bay Square Shopping Centre (Aldi, Kmart etc) and further along is Bateau Bay Ten Pin Bowling which has a Golf Driving Range next door
Within a 10 minute drive from our house (see www.icentralcoast.com):

- Golf courses close by are Shelly Beach, Magenta Shores and Terrigal
Westfield Tuggerah and Erina Fair is about a 15 minute drive and has everything you could want: food, fashion, movies, ice skating.
So many great places to bush walk locally on the Central Coast. Lots of markets on weekends and plenty of other activities including Australian Reptile Park with kangaroos, koalas, crocodile, snakes etc, and Tree tops Adventure Park.
We also have a number of quaint local markets-Farmers Markets selling local produce and crafts.
For Scuba Divers, the HMAS Adelaide an Australian War Ship sunk off Terrigal Haven, to create an artificial reef.
The Hunter Valley is an hour north, our famous wine region, worth a look.

Happy to help/meet for a drink and a chat/for a drive or a walk/take you for an ocean swim…just ask!
For anyone lucky enough to exchange with Donna and Matt, you're in for a treat. Their home is a delightful single-level 4 bedroom home with two separate living areas. It's furnished really tastefully, completely uncluttered, and really comfortable. I need to make special mention of how clean their windows were! 😃
This was the coldest weekend of the year and yet the place was beautifully warm and we loved sitting out by the pool in the sun of a morning with a coffee. They were nice enough to allow us to bring Xena, our mini-schnauzer, and she loved it, particularly their Pug's kennel. Donna even left a treat for Xena!
The home is in a new estate on NSW's Central Coast, about 50km from Sydney, an hour's drive. It's right next to an AFL park and walking distance from the Bateau Bay Hotel (I recommend the steaks!). We visited a waterfront cafe at The Entrance for breakfast on Saturday and then had toast and coffee at the local surf club on Sunday. The walk along the coast is just spectacular.
Donna & Matt are wonderful, really thoughtful hosts. I highly recommend their home!
Donna popped down from the Central Coast to stay with us for the night of our recent Sydney meetup. We did a sim exchange with Donna a few years ago and have remained friends since. It was only a night so not long enough, but Donna is an easy guest, great company and comes with our high recommendation! 🙂
What a great hospitality experience we have been able to enjoy with Donna!!
She decided to stay a couple of days in Ourense to see the thermal pools and the city on the way to Santiago de Compostela. For this, he initially reserved a hotel room in the city. Shortly before her arrival, my eldest daughter organized a trip to Granada in those days, with which I was able to offer her a stay in my home.
What a wise decision and how much we have enjoyed this totally new experience for us!!
Donna has been a wonderful guest because she is a cheerful, easy-going, funny and very affectionate woman and with whom it is very easy to connect.
If you have the opportunity to exchange with her, do not hesitate for a minute. Open the doors of your house and she will open the doors of her heart for you.💜
Donna & Matt are really easy guests. They communicated really well and it was such an easy exchange for us. They waited for us at their place so we could meet before exchanging, and to hand over the keys. That was really nice as otherwise we wouldn't have had a chance to meet them.
We arrived back this afternoon and, apart from the lovely gift that they left us, you'd never even know they were here. The place was exactly as we'd left it (even possibly better!). As if that wasn't enough, we even found out that they had found and rescued a little dog nearby and taken it home to its owner.
Exchange with them! You'll be happy you did! 🙂
Drew & Kathy invited me into their beautiful home again, so I could attend the recent Sydney meetup. What fabulous hosts!
From the amazing location of Squire’s Landing to meet other PLUs, they then showed me the sights on our way to Jimmy’s falafel for a delicious late night snack and cocktail, before heading home.
Due to the change in weather, I participated in some unexpected ‘running by torchlight’ guided by our marathon runner Drew, and then I was warmly welcomed by the gorgeous and very excited Livvie, on our arrival.
Thank you, I am grateful for being welcomed again, and getting to know to this beautiful family better…my door is always open for you (but beware of guard pug on premises) ❤️
This was my first hospitality exchange, and I could not ask for better hosts and in a fantastic location.
I was welcomed into Rocio and Domingo’s spacious, modern, clean and comfortable apartment with open arms. This family is kind, generous and so much fun to be with!
One of their daughters was there to help with translating (thank you Shu Yang) but Rocio’s English was very good anyway.
My friends and I visited the thermal pools, then took the scenic and fun tourist train into the city of Ourense, where we enjoyed some tapas (best octopus yet).
Rocio kindly invited all of us for coffee at her home, before she drove them to the train station. My friends were happy to leave me in very good company!
During my stay, I enjoyed wandering the city which is easy to walk, and crossing the river using different bridges. There was always something beautiful to see…the buildings, cathedral, country side etc.
I was very lucky to visit therapy donkeys on the way to Allariz, which I recommend to visit. I am sure you will leave with many wonderful photos.
Communication with Rocio was very easy, with quick replies and she always offered to help in any way.
I highly recommend exchanging with Rocio and her family and visiting their picturesque town! I can’t wait for them to visit Australia and stay with me 😊
Dear Donna, thank you for your loving words. You have been the best guest anyone could wish for for a first hospitality exchange.
For my family and I it has been a great experience and a pleasure to show our city to three intrepid and fun Australians and also to feel like a close friend in our home.
Of course, I can not agree so much with you in terms of my good command of English, but despite my limited knowledge and the fact that I know that when I speak I destroy Shakespeare's language, I admit with surprise that we have been able to communicate!!😂😂
Always yours Donna.
With love Domingo, Rocío and Shu Yang.
Drew & Kathy's home is amazing. Located in the beautiful North Shore area of Sydney, this stylish home was extremely comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Loved the kitchen and living area!
It was one of the coldest winter weekends, so we were happy enjoying a coffee, and reading the paper in the warm winter sun, coming through the big back room. We walked to Wahroonga one morning, and Turramurra the next, with very easy access to many shops. As the train station was so close, we took a 10 minute trip to Chatswood for dinner and drinks. We would love to come back to experience more of this beautiful part of Sydney.
My dream ensuite, would be the same as theirs!
We were so happy we had the pleasure of meeting Drew and Kathy before heading to their place. Communication was very easy, and we knew the exchange was going to be a breeze. On returning home, we wondered if anyone had been here at all, as the place was spotless! So happy to hear that Xena felt comfortable in Pumbaa's kennel, and as the perfect guest, she is welcome anytime. So is Drew & Kathy!!
