Neighbourhood

We have everything in our village: 3 supermarkets; 2 butchers; 3 bakeries; household appliances, outdoor items, etc. There is an English pub nearby and other good quality pubs and restaurants. If you fancy a 40-minute walk; or shorter bike ride; you can go to Drimmelen, the largest marina on the EU mainland. Plenty to do, see and enjoy and also where to rent boats or canoes to enjoy the Biesbosch National Park, one of the last vast freshwater tidal areas in Northwest Europe. Rotterdam, Utrecht, Antwerp and 's Hertogenbosch are all just a 45-minute drive away. Amsterdam 60 minutes. Dordrecht 30 minutes. All very nice towns. Efteling is one of the biggest theme parks in the area and only a 30-minute drive away (or go there by bike). There are also many playgrounds nearby (both indoor and outdoor), some with cafes or pancake restaurants, where younger children can play and you can just sit, relax and enjoy your holiday.

Getting Around

You can walk to all the mentioned shops in the city. If you want to go to larger shopping centers, you can take the bus that stops in front of our door (30 minutes to Breda). We have bicycles (also children's bikes, child seats on adult bikes, e-bikes or children's bikes that connect to the adult bikes) that you can borrow to go a little further. All safe with designated bike lanes.
