General Overview

Kingfisher Guesthouse is situated 100 meters from Kelley's Beach (Blaue Flag Status) in Port Alfred and has a direct and exquisite view of the Indian Ocean. We enjoy the unlimited sea views as well as open areas of our house. Guests are usually accommodated in the "penthouse family suite' on the top floor and offers two ensuite bedrooms with full bathroom facilities and a small lounge/TV area with coffee/tea, microwave and fridge facilities. All the rooms have access to unlimited Netflix and Wi-Fi and offers private balconies with direct sea views. Guests also have access to a pool and braai area. Guests have access to secure parking while the Port Alfred beachfront and are monitored with 24-CCTV. We often entertain guests from all over the world and have made mane friends from the UK, Netherlands, Slovakia, Portugal, Kuwait, Singapore and elsewhere who have become repeat visitors. Port Alfred is a in close proximity to 5-star Game Farms like Shamwari, Pumpa and Addo Elephant Park and offers excellent deep-sea fishing and golf facilities. Many visitors fall in love with Port Alfred and decide to settle in this safe and well-maintained seaside town.

Dr Martin Oosthuizen and Prof Nadine Oosthuizen. Both of us has been linked to the university sector for many years. I am the Provost of EduVisa University College (UK) while Nadine is HOD of Business Management at Rhodes University (South Africa). In addition to the academic space, we also run a guesthouse (Kingfisher) in Port Alfred, South Africa. We have served for more than 12 years as pastors and are still involved with our local church. We have a diverse friendship circle including academics, pastors, farmers and basically people from every sphere of life.
