Neighbourhood

It is walkable to great restaurants, shops, groceries, a playground, winery, brewery, coffee shops, theaters, moose tours, outdoor adventure ropes course, and miniature golf. A short drive gives you many more activity options including train rides, tube, and bike rentals, rock/ Boulder caves, winter ice castle, Mt. Washington, Cannon Mountain ski area, Flume Gorge (great 18-mile bike trail, as well as gorge hikes), Lost River Gorge, Whales tales water park, Clark’s Bears Theme Park, Nestlenook Farm (horse-drawn sleigh rides, pond skating, snowshoe trails, and hot chocolate!!), Franconia Notch, and lake region lakes. Great single-day adventures include sightseeing in Boston MA, Burlington VT, Canada, and the seaside in Portsmouth NH! In addition to all the commercial activities available in our area, it is also a great place to slow down and soak up nature!

Getting Around

You can walk to all local shops, restuarants, theaters, groceries, some hikes, swimming, snowshoeing. There is a ski shuttle to Loon Mountain on weekends, but you can also walk to the closest lift to access all parts of the mountain. There are beginner trails within walking distance, but getting to the rest of the mountain involves blue trails. You will need a car for all other adventures.
